If you want to go somewhere for the winter you will always be welcome up at Faslane Peace Camp in Scotland. They get very lonely over the winter up there and are always very happy to have visitors. They will be even more happy to see you if you take up a car boot full of fire wood!

Each circle is planned by the organisers before the camp starts so we try to mix in new people with veterans. We don't have a beer tent at oak dragon but you can bring ur own drink and u can smoke whatever u want to.

the only place that i can think of down south where you can just turn up is tipi valley. if you go there then you can just stay in the big lodge for as long as you want too for free. its a bit of a harsh environment though.

Tipi Valley is in Cwmdu, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The self description that they give themselves on 'Diggers and Dreamers' is:

"To be honest, we're a bunch of hippies, many of us 'originals'. Tipi Valley is high in the Welsh hills, on 200 acres that we have bought bit by bit over 30 years. Our oldest land has already reverted to temperate rainforest.
The idea is that we are part of nature, living within nature. Thus all our homes are low-impact dwellings such as tipis, yurts, domes and thatched or turf-roofed round houses, with travellers' buses and caravans 'up the top' near the road.
We are a village, not a commune, and everyone is responsible for their own economy. We do not have regular business meetings, and we never vote. It works by consensus and personal relationships. Dogs are not welcome.
We have a large communal tipi called the 'Big Lodge' where guests may usually stay. No need to write first.
Spirituality is natural, mostly expressed in chanting and drumming at the sweatlodge (sauna). Over 80 home births. Education at home or at local schools. It's a survival lifestyle, 100% nature. Always take your footwear off when entering a dwelling. Most people wear wellies. Arrive before dark or get very lost. It's wild!"
