Mmm, I've done 1 beer in a funnel once, but I couldn't do it all in one gulp.

I've seen my little brother do 3 beers in a funnel in like, less than a minute. It was pretty insane. I've never seen anyone drink that fast.

I don't remember you saying anything about Steel Reserve. Just Mickey's, which I have never had.

Yeah, I know, it's bad. It's a once in a blue moon kind of thing. I wasn't in the mood for anything fancy tonight. I was just looking for a quick buzz and something cheap. You can't go wrong at $6 for a 12-pack. [IMG]

    A mickey's?

Well that's confusing. We call a 12 oz bottle of booze a 'mickey' here.

I should also add that Mickey's is VERY weak for being a malt liquor -- only about 5.5% ABV.

new low? definitely not, i know you've posted before that it's your favorite malt liquor.

i recently bought a 12pack cause i'm broke as fuck. glad its gone, though.

in all seriousness there was an extended period of being broke as hell a couple months ago and i gained a whole new appreciation for malt liquor.....i dont look down on it quite as much as i used to....

that said i will disagree about steel reserve being better than olde english, but really it comes down to personal taste i guess.

i find steel reserve to be quite a bit harder to finish even a pint can or tallboy of....couldnt see myself trying a whole 40 of it...and if i'm drinking malt liquor, i want to go all out and get a 40....

OE800 is better, in my opinion, but really as far as i'm concerned when you factor price and strength into everything, my malt liquor of choice is hands down schlitz red bull. had a 40 of it tonight, actually, and another in the fridge for tomorrow (can't wait for payday!)

all in all i find it much smoother and more drinkable than olde english, and FAR more drinkable than steel reserve....and in spite of being better than either (in my opinion) it's also quite cheap (fact)

round here a 40 of olde english 800 will run you 2 bucks plus tax....here a 40 of schlitz red bull is 1.30

at 7.1%ABV its only a few points lower in alcohol than OE, and 1% less alcohol (by volume, of course) than steel reserve.

i really can't stand steel reserve, even as a malt liquor. i know you've said more than once that its one of the better ones out there, but after multiple tries i gotta disagree, man....

sparks is a heart attack waiting to happen. Especially when you drink 6-10 and play competitive basketball.

but it's fun. and as Hyphy says "the girls love it".

Never had the stuff. Seems like one of those ultra-trendy, overpriced chick drinks for frat boys and sorority girls who can't handle the taste of beer.

Belgian Beer is all 7-9% alcohol too, but it's too fruity for me.
