Best part of waking up? Hmm dunno. Maybe its finding out who's next to me. Sometimes its 12yrs old. And male. BUT, I haven't become some sort of nonce. Its because the 12 yr old boy is actually my BEAUTIFUL exotic white cat. He reminds me that each morning I've got closer to being that archetypal Bond villain living in a hollowed out volcano...
That's good. And yea, I think most likely it would be all but impossible for a parent to reach the point where their kids are older and NOT wish they had done SOMETHING different or better. Well, actually I think just having that thought shows someone IS a good parent, if that makes any sense.
I tell them that hopefully I've spent the first 16 years preparing them for the next 16 years and after that.....I think they should be ok.
I never have been a morning person....so I just stumble around trying to take care of the pets in this house.......at first. i am a night owl.
I dont smoke after waking up from true sleep. maybe after a nap sometimes. my coffee is decaf mix with water dust. crazy I can get a zillion different blends of coffee. I just dont like it. kisses from women in my life is always awesome. kisses from my doggie is awesome enough..
If I'm working, my favorite part of waking up is taking a nice hot shower. If I'm not working, I love reading in bed and then having coffee .
My man's epic brunch-style breakfasts (think pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausages, fried bacon, muffins, toasts, fresh fruits and all that shit) are the best part of every Sunday morning tho, that's for sure.
my favorite part of waking up is looking at the clock and realizing i still have a few hours to sleep. i tend to wake up several times throughout the night, so a majority of my wakeups do have that feature. the time i do have to get out of bed, there's really no good side to it. i usually find myself thinking "it's ok, i'll be back here tonight."
i would have to say taking a piss, washing my hands, and looking for something to eat. the cats usually want something to eat about then too. well that depends, because my day can be any part of the planet's day night cycle. it doesn't shift radically from one day to the next, but it does sort of precess around the clock. sorry no spliffy here. nor alky either one, nor any of the rest of them. i've just never found any mind altering substance to be as gratifying as my own natural imagination, curiosity, and desire to create things, even if only pictures of the things i'd like to make if i had the means of doing so. best part, maybe just waking up, and realizing its another 'day' and that i'm still alive to enjoy living it. at my age, i know the day will come when the next time i wake up, i'll be an infant again, on some world as completely alien to this one, as this one was to the one i had lived and died in before it. and having to go through the whole hassle of childhood, and knowing i'd gone through THAT countless times before as well. i don't think there's any ONE BEST thing. every day is its own unique self. i would probably not be at all surprised to wake up in a totally different universe. and i mean without the aid of chemical additives.
420 and coffee in the AM is wonderful. Just coffee this AM, I might get me a little taste of kindness when I go for my walk. Feels good to stretch in the morning. Then go back to bed and read news and tank on coffee a little more, then get up and stretch and warm up again until I naturally feel like getting the day into gear. A moderate workout in the field with nobody watching and then stretch my legs a few miles down the road. I need to check out that "getting into gear" part, seeya
