Are conspiracy theorists new ? Blaming the problems of the world on sources that are created and almost mythical is not new. The fact is that it is the human condition to try and explain what we don’t understand. There are two ways we explain what we don’t understand
    1) we conduct research by creating a hypothesis and TESTING the hypothesis we then use the data from the tests to draw conclusions or perhaps design new experiments to explain the problem further. This is the method in which modern science follows, and it seems to work well if you care accept modern technologies as proof of this.
    2) The other way we explain what we don’t know is a much older method. We theorize and fabricate explanations through mythologies and stories. We create stories and mythologies and use them to explain the world around us. This mechanism helps us quell our own fears of the unknown, and is very effective at doing this. Because you don’t have to support your claim with hard evidence that can be TESTED reliably over and over again it is easy to explain the world with the second method.

People believe in an evil shadow government because it actually makes them comfortable. The world has problems no matter who is causing it, and this makes people afraid. Whether you believe that a shadow government or other conspirator is the cause of the worlds problems or you believe that the worlds problems are caused by uncertainty and conflict you are still scared by the worlds problems. The difference is that when you create a single central enemy it makes it much easier to focus those fears and manage them. This is why people create conspiracies. It is a coping mechanism that simplifies the problem and their fears.

So who was the original evil conspirator before the NWO or illuminati or what have you ?
THE DEVIL! (at least in western cultures). Before we would blame the problems on our modern conspiracies we blamed them on the oldest conspiracy of them all. There is an evil manbeast that hates us and causes all of our problems. Because of this I conclude my post by saying 911 WAS an inside job, but it was done by the oldest conspirator of them all….. LUCIFER!!!!!! Use this as your guide and I bet you can explain EVERYTHING that happened in 911!!!

What you're saying is that all those years ago people were blaming the devil for their dukes and counts and kings going to war with each other, hoarding money and "conspiring" against the common people? Thats some dumb shit, do some research, but I think modern psychology got the better of you.
If you have any understanding of theology and the origins of modern christianity-You would find that by saying that you're pretty much guilty of what you're trying to ascribe to "modern conspiracy theorists"

They were peasants just like we are, and they were under the yoke of oppression just like most of us. I don't fucking care if you think you're middle class or upper class, you're a fucking peasant unless you're going to the most expensive elitist colleges in america and being groomed for wealth and politics. The common people are groomed to work 9-5 put up with being spoonfed bullshit and to distract themselves with any number of media outlets to ensure the rich get richer and poor stay poor-And very soon the common person will not have the know how, motivation or resources to break out of his class boundary. This is the true evil behind all these stupid conspiracies-Its really a class vs class battle and its not gonna last forever.

Its a matter of global control and mutual interests between the corporate heads and the true "royalty"(whether its a family, or a society, or a social class-who knows really)of this world-which is quickly becoming a one world nation whether we like or not. This isn't stupid UFO shit, its just logic.

Fuck dude, goverments lying to their people for profit and control is childs play- been going on as long as theirs been a class system-If you don't think thats going on you're a lost cause. Wake the fuck up. The number one trick a governing body will do is not even aknowledge the dissent complaints for to do so would be to validate it and give it power-The goverment won't even bat an eye at any mention of conspiracy, because if it did it would prove everything.

Look, America is a garden of eden.
we are happy when we don't know any better, but the amount of injustice and horrible things that being piled upon top each other is too much to bear for anyone with a sense of right and wrong.
Some people wanna bite and learn as much as they can and influence the world for the better....others just don't care, there is a reason people call this country apathetic.

With all the movies, video games, TV, and sensationalized news articles, theres more then enough to keep us busy while america turns into a facist 3rd world county that treats its people like shit.

When you're forced to work 5 days a week for someone else to barely keep you're family alive, then pay taxes which are spent frivilously by the goverment on draconion ventures in to 3rd world countries for corporate profit, then yeah you are offically the goverments fuck puppet.

You think the goverment will let me put a farm on a city block? I can feed my entire neigborhood with 10 hours of work a week and a little bit of land see when people become independent of the goverment thats when their is a problem....Its not hard to draw conclusions about the state of this country and where its headed.

Yes. Conspiracism is a modern superstition. Further, it's a secular religion, with its own godlike entities, sacred beliefs, zealots and martyrs... And like religion it's a comforting fiction which neatly explains everything according to a limiting set of criteria which once accepted and internalised require no further thought, no scepticism, no *proof*...

Calling atheism a religion is like calling carpets a kind of boat. There are some atheistic religions to be sure - organised systems of belief or practice which have no deities - but the mere absence of theism is not an organised system of beliefs or practices in itself.

How is calling "conspiracism" a religion any different that calling atheism a religion?

Is it because you are atheist, and you dont want to tie your beliefs up in something you are slanderizing?

Yes, conspiracism is not really a religion, it's not organised in any meaningful way. I was making a rhetorical point:rolleyes:

Maybe the other guy was too but it didn't sound like it...

The only way to truly not believe in a so called "Conspiracy" is to truly believe that humans are not capable of greed and a lust for power and control. These things are built in to our very nature as competitive animals. It is also in our nature to act like a herd, its much safer that way-Divisions are dangerous among the human flock.

Now bring to light the fact that a great portion of the american population(everyone I know would scoff at the idea of the official version of 9/11 being the truth) honestly believes the goverment covered something up or orchastrated the events, and many people(a few of whom I know personally) were present during 9/11 and are totally convinced of this fact.
Running from this perspective and the moves the bush administration made following the events leaves very little to imagination actually.

Look at the events and calculate who had the most to gain from everything-Its a matter of logic.

People debate silly theories and facts....who's laughing all the way to the fucking bank right now? thats what really matter.

Therefore the fire department causes fires, the police department causes crime, doctors cause accidents, and farmers cause hunger.

Its a matter of facile pseudo logic like that which gives conspiracy theories a bad name.

There are cases of firefighters starting fires for overtime and for more work. Everybody's heard of the corrupt cop who won't take monsters of the street because he's getting bribes. A lot of doctors get kickbacks from insurance companies.
A great deal of farmers are forced to grow genetically modified corn which is unedible until its processed in to nutritionless snack food. Corporations won't buy anything else and famer jon can't make shit.
Hey, a lot of professional atheletes were getting blasted on steroids, and officials and coaches new about it-perpatrators of a conspiracy.....Mcdonalds...oh nevermind.

In any large organization or gathering there will be "Conspiracies", and the actual effects of which are besides the point because its the "cause" behind the effect that is worrisome(A lot of people are selfish power hungry crooks that don't care about you and never will) especially when you consider the amount of power the federal goverment and the lobbiests wield.

What a lot of people like to do is follow an opposing arguments logic to the point of where its not valid and claim the fallacy of the logic.
Its doesn't prove anything except ones inability to glean enough information to argue back.

its not that hard really. what are the two questions a 911 conspiracy theorist cannot answer?

    1. What do you think happened?

    2. Give me one piece of evidence which would prove 911 was not a conspiracy and which, using conspiracy theorist logic, I could not instantly reject.

Conspiracy theorists claim to be a sceptical deep thinkers, but 911 conspiracy theories are so absurd and ridiculous that its obvious they are anything but.

If it makes you feel special to believe them, go ahead.

What I think happened is that due to the ineptness and/or corruption of the Bush Administration's staff, a terrorist attack managed to penetrate american defenses(who these supposed "terrorists"are is anyones guess and their are a number of theories, the details are secondary) caused a panic which said administration took advantage of, if you think otherwise then I bow to you're stoic faith in the goverments honesty.
I don't think 9/11 is as big a deal as most people make it out to be, their are other more subversive things going on in the world.

The real questions people should be asking themselves is if we gave the reigns of power to a bunch of crooks who serve themselves and corporate interests more then the American people, and if it is too late to change things fundamentally within the system to end this kind of self aggregating corporate and goverment greed.

Whether or not the 9/11 attack is mutually exclusive from the huge web of mostly(who knows in the end) bunk conspiracy theories floating around is anyones guess-But not arguing about it isn't any fun =)

And to try and answer you're second question I need to know what you mean by conspiracy theorist logic-Logic you do not agree with? or clinically paranoid logic?

if you actually think about it, even the official story is a "conspiracy theory", thus making those who subscribe to that story conspiracy theorists, whether you acknowledge it or not. it's just that some of us have the audacity to question the circumstances of this event and then more importantly, realize that our government betrayed us.

That is a pointless semantic argument though.
Its good to question things, but that doesn't excuse falling for crackpot theories.

everyone can point out things about architecture, but look into the leader of the country at the time, how he reacted, and how many times his story changed. 9/11 is a conspiracy, was an inside job, and is proof of a totalitarian government lieing to it's people, who also believe they still live in a democracy. The goverment controls the media, of course they're going to pin it on 'bad guys'. Guys who are NOT who the US government say they are. Osama Bin Laden is not a terrorist nor is he responsible for any act of terror. George Bush is a terrorist and he is partially responsible for 9/11 and is responsible for the loss of many innocent American lives. People need to open their eyes, quit buying the governments bullshit, quit listening to the media, and quit drinking the punch. George Bush is just Charles Manson with a day job.
