What the hell is it with these damn omnivores who realize that they are supporting evil corporations through factory farmed cows and animals. Sheesh... even before I was a vegan my dad ALWAYS bought buffalo and beef from free run farms who give no hormones or anything. Pure and natural and the cows don't suffer (but I still say no to killing them and they didn't die for you, they were murdered for you and if they had consent, i'm sure they would've wanted to not be murdered for the ignorance of another species). And the lion crap. Don't start it. You don't need animals to survive unless you're caring for them.

Blah Blah Blah... there would'nt be any bloody cows in the first place if humans wouldn't need them for survival...

We make the cows survive... if we stop eating them... they'll be taken out by recreational hunters, a desease, or just plain eaten by wild animals....

So hell.... i'm gonna go and eat me some good mass produced steak from an "evil" cooporation....

wait, how exactly are they "evil"? I thought that they were just making a buisness.... shit! if it makes my steak taste better....inject them bloody hormones!

Cows do not need us to survive. People just like to tell themselves that cows are dumb, slow and helpless and couldn't survive on their own just so that they can rationalize raising them on hideous factory farms. It's not true, but whatever people want to tell themselves to get rid of guilt I guess...

I wouldn'ty feel guilt even if i would see the cow slaoughtered infront of me.

Cows are dependent on us. They cannot adjust to the environment that fast. Cows have been dependent on us for centuries..... if we just stop needing them.... then, they won't survive... they do not know how to. They do not have the cranial capacity to develop survival techniques that fast (other than a handful of documented dutch cows). What would probebly happen... if a law against cow eating would pass.... most cow owners would slaughter thier own cows...so that they do not go to the wild and become a mannace....

There are wild cows in Oregon too. And they are doing just fine without humans. And the ones that couldn't survive would die out, just like any other kind of wild animal. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But congratulations on not being bothered by seeing something die for you when it is not necessary.

Hmmm... so it is alright to eat them because they aren't as intelligent as us and can't survive on their own? It occurs to me that children and mentally disabled people also cannot really survive on their own either... so we should be able to farm, torture and eat them too, right? But humans are specieists, so this isn't true I guess. They have the same ability for suffering as humans, but obviously that doesn't matter.

I'm not against eating meat exactly, but I will never condone torture of any living thing, no matter how unintelligent they are.

I guess we have change the topic from living in the 60's to meat eating people...Firts of all i would love to live in the 60's...It was a time of love and yea like people mention war...but it would of been cool to open all the people's eyes and show them how shitty the government is...
Now about the meat eating topic...im al against eating meat just for the fact that they are animals and also have feelings...i feel bad eating an animal who also have a right to live...

    Stop Modest Proposal-ing us!

Humans were never proven to be so "tasty"... it is not culturaly accepted to eat them... unlike chickens...

I'm sure we all would have loved to have lived in the 60's. But why don't we stop pining for the past and concentrate on the future. We can make it just as good or BETTER than The 60's!:D

I think that us Young Hippies deserve to have that kind of wild time in our lives as well as our parents or whoever before us loved the 60's and 70's. ;)

But we gotta work towards it.

when I was a youngin', I witnessed the decapitation of a chicken (at a farm): the chicken ran like a chicken with its head cut off.... in fact it was very much like that, only more violent than I had ever imagined... needless to say, it was traumatic to my young eyes. and although that chicken was tasty, i decided then and there that I'm gonna let the the big faceless corporations handle the killin'...
and i've been enjoying a natural source protein ever since.
but getting back to the 60's.... man, that'd've been cool.

I can't respect anyone with that kind of mentality, it annoys the fuck out of me. Although I'm sure you don't care ;)

But really, if you are going to eat it, you should be man enough to kill it yourself.

man enough to kill it yourself.. ha! Haven't you been fighting for equal rights for some time now? why don't you be woman enough and provide food for your family. what kind of mentality, you're not specific? i don't want respect, i only want your love. i bet if you tried my bbq ribs you'd never go back to lettuce. this has been most entertaining.
