Here we are finally, election day. The polls are razor thin so it will probably take a couple days before we know the result. Freedom or Fascism? Democracy or Dictatorship? Let's all keep track!

 

It has been quiet here on Hip Forums this week.

Whatever todays outcome, its a very close election. We do have a 50 - 50 nation in The US.

It will behove us all to cooperate some to reach goals we hold in common.

No Body will gain any mandate. Sorry.

There are compromises available on a variety of issues.

I think Trump is going to win. This is not an endorsement of Trump, but rather a realistic appraisal of polling as I see it.

Harris may win Michigan and Nevada. She's at least got a chance to win Pennsylvania. I don't think she's going to win North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, or Wisconsin, and she'd need to win at least one of those states to get to 270.

I'm going by the polling aggregation of Real Clear Politics. The RCP site overall strikes me as right leaning (they include some articles on their site from left leaning sources), but their polling appears to be the most accurate judging by the past two elections.

Even though Harris has a slight lead in Wisconsin by the polling, the polling has under estimated Trump support there by about 5 points.

 

Being transgender under Trump is the lowest feeling in the world.

Well we're fucked. America chose Fascism over freedom, dictatorship over Democracy. Trump still faces criminal and civil charges, but they could very well disappear.

You should have seen it coming. Being late and argumentative for the FOX News interview was a disaster. Her staff cut it off maintaining some sort of damage control. She continued to degrade her opponent instead of showing how she would make good on her promises. She has a shaky past in both California and as VP. And the final indicator was with the "Wise Guys". Yes, the Vegas wagering line setters. She was an overwhelmingly underdog bet sometimes fetching a +200 return on the election odds. If the "Wise guys" aren't getting any action on her line the odds ramp up to entice wagers there. That didn't happen. Neither did the EC or popular vote go in her favor. Today, the "Wise Guys" are raking in the dough and the country is stepping back 8 years.

 

UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE!

 

Just like Hillary, misogyny, greed, hate and ignorance overwhelm the elusive caring, inclusiveness, and responsibility that are the real human values. But then, greater nations that he US have slid down the rat hole. I grew up in the 50’s when people were saying how could it happen in Germany? We need not wonder any more.

 

The underlying problems that caused so many to be susceptible to the ridiculous trump acts--- more than likely will not be addressed any time soon. After all ---Musk says the American people need to go through some hardship. I'm sure the richest prick in the world can see to that.
