In such a scenario I don't think it would be game over, there would be an uprising that dwarfs January 6!

Ive listened to very historically knowledgeable people suggest similar. Not bigger than jan6 but more of them, smaller, in each contentious state. That to be followed potentially by a split in military and potentially becoming a civil war. I'm not ready to believe that fully but numerous small jan6's, yes, I can envisage those.

 

Seems simple enough to fix. Don't announce results, until all are counted and then announce them alternately , red result, blue result.
Or
Make sure its explained to everybody, so there's no ignorance or suspicions/fears are allayed.

Imv, it's incumbent on every elected rep and state official to make sure the public understands the systems and procedures. Had they been doing that properly, we wouldn't be in this potential mess.

 

It's just that he has his bully pulpit, X, that he'll announce victory at 9:01pm election night, and when it doesn't go his way, he'll condemn the election, cry fraud, wha wha wha why.... What ever happened to fake electors? Nothing.

 

Thank You President Biden for setting up uncertainty in elections by inviting millions of Undocumented ; having your surrogates press for granting voting rights to the recent arrivals.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but anyone that's republican or at this point admires that useless son of a bitch trump, deserves anything they get from me! Don't forget--I've been around from 1939 and --I KNOW--REPEAT--I KNOW what republicans think--how they vote , who they are for--who they are against--and NOW I know what kind of a prick trump is. I don't like liars and I don't like crooks---therefore those who now seem to be fine with such--get no respect from me. I was actually very willing to give the guy a chance when I first saw him. I didn't know anything about him. But I knew IMMEDIATELY that he was lacking in basic character when he made fun of that disabled man that asked him a question. That was low. AS low as one can get.

Yeah; I am, based upon personal experience. I've been an "election official"; the IT guy in charge of the voting machines. Every single person I've ever worked an election with have been wholeheartedly dedicated to preserving the integrity of the election, and there were always procedures to check and double-check each other. I'd be interested in hearing of your experience in the electoral process.
