my family really can't argue since i do almost all the cooking. suresh actually does the turkey, although sometimes i have to coach him. we never seem to have enough mushroom gravy, or potatoes. i'm trying to find a substitute for the carrot fruit-gel salad this year; we've made it with success with the seaweed gel dessert mix, but both kids are terribly allergic to nuts, so i'm going to have to come up with something else. why can't handsome, naked (straight) men float down from the sky and offer me chai and back rubs? that would be something to be thankful for.
one holiday i personally can't stand is valentines day. all the others are fine with me. thanksgiving lets me get together with distant family, and christmas gives me an unusually warm, toasty feeling. it's all that christmas whiskey.....
Understood...but --> You always have the option of politely excusing yourself from the house... Chill & enjoy the leftovers...
I don't celebrate "thanks"giving. What do I have to be thankful for? Europeans stealing native land and killing my people? pfff, No thanks.
Probably the best thing you can do is to be pissed about something that happened a couple hundred years ago instead of trying to figure a way to smooth everything out... Thinksgiving...
