It is a weird sight to see. I'm more accustomed to seeing the left rally to a common cause by now. Instead they are still holding to their kingdoms and fiefdoms while failing to galvanize behind a presidential candidate. Bill Clinton was the hands-down favorite by this point. Even republicans liked him!
Trump is a dangerous moron, delusional, dishonest, infantile, possibly senile... but I've never personally seen any evidence that he is a racist. I'm sure there are some racist people that voted for him. I'm also sure people vote for him in retaliation to the black racist BLM movement that derailed so many liberals at the time.
I remember when they portrayed Reagan as senile. Even with Alzheimers he was better than Carter. Carter made the whole nation look like cowards in the face of Iran. We STILL have not shaken that stigma off. Trump is in this because he saw the left coming after his fortune, proudly. While I don't care for him personally, he's dedicated to the task and sees it through. I can't imagine anyone but maybe Lee Iaccoca who could have pulled off the same feat.
There's that libtard slur again. Nothing of value to say so drag out the right wing insults. Another boring post.
What in the MAGA Hat wearing, I drink 2L’s of Mountain Dew on the daily, NASCAR is my favorite sport, Budweiser in a can drinking uncle dad is going the fuck on here?
You said the USA was founded and built on white supremacist beliefs. A white supremacist is the worst kind of person anyone white can be. So to rewrite history and say that’s what the USA was all about is dishonest and cowardly. But we all know this is just another social Marxist flag burner talking point. The USA wasn’t (and still isn’t) perfect, but in it’s short lived existence it has accomplished so much. It started as a country that liberated its people from the tyranny of monarchs, developed a model of free enterprise, lifted many from poverty to prosperity, one of the first to end slavery, led the world in the industrial revolution, welcomed immigrants from many lands to give them the freedoms and opportunities that weren’t offered and sometimes denied by their home land’s government. The very first country to have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights. The country that became the blueprint for the ascent of humanity, and a role model for other nations around the world. The idea that the founders were all white supremacists is also incorrect, and history revisionist. Ben Franklin worked with the Iroquois nation to incorporate their system of democracy into the new republic. He even helped print native American literature in his printing company. Many of the founding fathers were against slavery as well. Word Around the Net: COMMON KNOWLEDGE: RACIST FOUNDING FATHERS Leftists will look at America’s history and focus only on the brutalities that occurred to spread a feeling of guilt and self loathing across the population. Pessimistic attitudes toward oneself and heritage is one of the key tenants to destroying a community and nation from within. They'll rewrite history by following false idols like Colin Kappernick, and rewrite the Betsy Ross flag as a hate symbol, despite the fact that Betsy Ross was one of the anti-slavery founding mothers. But I challenge you to look to the history of other nations and find me one where no injustices occurred, and no land was ever conquered, no populations were displaced, and enslavement never happened.
I'm sorry but this is one of the more ridiculous things you've ever said. How am I rewriting history? How were white slave owners NOT white supremacists? How were southern whites who propagated the Jim Crow era NOT white supremacists? How is pointing that out dishonest and cowardly? It's the truth. When the US was founded only white men had rights. Black people were slaves. In what way is that not a system of white supremacy? It is you who is trying to rewrite history. (Side note, George Orwell was a goddamn genius and a prophet, I am speaking the truth and you are looking at the truth and calling it a lie. We truly do live in a post truth world where fragile white egos cant stand the idea of their ancestors doing anything wrong so they're trying to write all the bad things out of our history completely. This is akin to holocaust denial). Oh and I didnt say ALL the founders and early citizens of this country were white supremacists so dont misrepresent me just to prove a point. But there were enough of them to propagate a system of it that didnt really end until the last schools were desegregated in the 70s. And here's the thing...if slavery still existed and the US was doing amazing things, leading the world in green energy or whatever, but doing it on the backs of slaves...the good things we were doing wouldnt magically erase the bad. You seem to have this idea that I just shouldnt talk about slavery or how Jim Crow existed in parts of the south almost 2 decades after the civil rights act was passed..you seem to think because our founding fathers were advanced in other ways, because of the good things the US was doing, that I shouldnt be allowed to speak of the bad parts, that it's cowardly for me to speak of the bad parts. Isnt that what you said? I call bullshit on that homie
And for this I actually thought I put a disclaimer, I went looking for it so I could quote myself but I dont see it I meant to say, I know this system was the norm at the time in Europe too so dont come at me lol. But just because it was the norm doesnt make it any less of a system of white supremacy. And I know non-white nations have enslaved their people too, so dont come at me with that either. Doesnt change anything about what I'm saying about the US specifically or make it less true.
When the US was founded. Only land owners had the right to vote. Being a white man alone wasn't enough. The Bill Of Rights still applied to everyone else. Slavery and Jim Crow was indeed an injustice that stains the nation's history. But slavery was imported to the original colonies after the were established, not part of their beginnings. The original colony in Jamestown in 1607 included roughly 20 black people that were not slaves. Not all black Americans were slaves, believe it or not. Some were indentured servants who worked their way toward citizenship and freedom. Others were free citizens from the start. Maybe you can find me a country where racism and xenophobia never existed in its history. If you wanna keep regurgitating collectivist talking points about how white people are awful and have fragile egos, then there's probably nothing I can do or say to allow you see the world differently. Anti-white attitudes are racist attitudes all the same.
The bill of rights didnt apply to enslaved people, wtf. (Didnt apply to women either). And you call me a history revisionist. The fragile white ego thing just comes because I cant really fathom why men like yourself get so defensive when our history of enslavement and apartheid are brought up, even going to the lengths of denying it. Maybe it isnt ego, maybe there's some other motivation. Who knows. I mean, PR said my talking about it means I want to bring about the demise of white people lol. That just seems reallllyyy sensitive and defensive (dare I say triggered?) Also where did I say white people are awful? Just more hyperbole and misrepresentation. And accusing me of being racist against my own race lol. I cant do this
Bingo! I can't get over how shitting on people for just being white is somehow acceptable. I'm to assume we "deserve" it because history? It's a good thing that no non-white people in history did any hideous things. Can you imagine the mess we'd be in if more than just white people were capable of crimes against humanity? Oh the horror!
It was the fast and loose interpretation of the entire nation being founded upon white supremacy. That's a rather damaging assessment of the history of the US (which wasn't actually formed until the late 18th century). Seriously, applying today's morals to past events is foolhardy. There is no straight line of responsibility there, certainly none toward an entire race of Americans. So, it has to be manufactured, with a little help from a late 19th century writer who impregnated his housekeeper (whom he never paid). It's interesting the sorts of people who claim moral high ground over historical events.
Women were denied freedom of speech? Right to bear arms? Forced to let soldiers into their living quarters? Subjected to unreasonable searches and seizures? Due Process? That's news to me. None of the original 10 amendments mentioned anything about voting laws. Apparently I'm a slavery denier now as well
Right, the majority of non-white people in the US were not slaves. Slaves were something the wealthy 3% or so propagated. Which is why it's so absurd to blame the entire white race or even just white Americans, with the stain of slavery that affects ALL races. Consider which humans likely created slavery in the first place. It was well before the wheel folks.
