Ok, you are both sounding a bit nutty now with the socialist roads I once knew a laneway that did its thesis on Marxs' Zur Judenfrage
Gibberish is a racist and religious insult. The Gibbar Tribe is from Iraq and is listed in the Old Testament as one of the original tribes of the Hebrew. Incidentally, one cannot be empty and baleful at the same time. Yours is an irrational and dichotomous statement, devoid of logic. I would give you an F in my Logic and Critical Thinking class.
A socialist road: one that likes to complain about the wealthy people that built it A communist road: a million people starve to death building it
The American model of capitalism is a failure. We see the evidence on TV everyday. The bipolar government does not work. Trump's semi-illiterate voter base actually think he's doing a good job and Jesus is about to return to Planet Earth to re-establish the Kingdom of God, where White men are superior to other racial groups.
Few of them understand that a middle class is not really possible long term in Capitalism. As the system flows those who win will win more and those who fail have less chance to win. Opportunity for everyone only exists with taxation and higher burdens on the successful. Americans had jobs in the 1950's because A. Europe is fucked and can't produce goods at the moment B. The rich Americans paid higher tax and the people in general expected that freedom meant cheap health care, high pay for unskilled labor, and education. You will notice that people who love American Capitalism are usualy poor or lower middle class. They will admit they did not win but they LOVE a system where people can win. They will defend to the death Amazon and other companies like that. Even if they did not win well what if they did? What if they just thought of Amazon they would not like tax. A good capitalist is a greedy one. Greed outside of American exceptionalism seems to be regarded as bad. It's only good when you tell the poor that their other option is socialism.
Would that be a TV you brought from walmart made by a multinational corporation or one given to you by the state?
Lolz, Meagain was the one who brought up 'socialist roads' I was making fun of him ....and now inadvertently you are too
I don't think most people here will confuse me for one who does not like socialism. I'm not the one making the old it equals death analogy as you are.
Hang on, no need to put people down over their views VG. Learn to accept them and move on, please. It doesn't matter if both @MeAgain and @stormountainman agree with each other. They have a right to express their views.
But you live in arguably the worlds most free market capitalist country and havent known any different You said this before But Australia got all those things, cheap health care, high pay for unskilled labour and education (without the kind of student loans you guys get hit with) Look at Norway, Sth Korea, Australia and Japan in particular. All could be described as capitalist countries, but all where the situatìon with healthcare and student loans are a lot better than the situation in the US The reasons for that arent as simple as socialism vs capitalism A government funded student loan scheme might sound socialist, and it is within its self. But if the end result is a higher number of people better qualified with higher incomes that then spend that money. Then it is in fact in the end promoting and strengthening capitalism US healthcare, all mostly privatized, so why is it pretty much the most expensive in the world for a single user. The mantra is usually privitization makes things cheaper and more efficient. Because most of those costs are related to outpatient services, companies are allowed to price gouge and the insurance companies have to cover that. You are really just paying to much for wealthy people to go to a chiropractor or therapist that charges 4 times more than anywhere else in the world. Which is really more socialist than capitalist
What meaningful dialogue do you want there? He put in a crying smiley because he didnt read the whole thread and didnt realize the socialist roads thing was you not me Ha Ha
They certainly have a right to express their views, and I encourage it .....especially if its something as silly sounding as socialist roads that I can make fun of
