    It's not so much CHANGE but a way to not have to see the new main EVERYTIME you back link.
    Esp for your mods, that's extra clicking while we are cleaning up spam and such.

    Please listen to Brian about the back link. He's not the only one who has suggested it.
    it's like a neat new front door on your house, but to go from room to room, you have to be back on the front porch. Everytime.

    Forum Options/All Forums... has been fixed now to go to the list of forums. That works from everypage, not just a forum page.

    Also left column/Hip Menu/All Forums...

    Have none of you ever heard of Bookmarks? You can bookmark ANY PAGE ON THE WEB from your browser... duh...

    I'm glad this is happening. You ppl need to wake up! :)

    i prefer the old homepage. i feel like this one may be harder to find what oyu want. i liked having all the forums displayed in an organized way instead of just the top 20 ... or just searching for one.

    Note if it's an improvement,
    this is just plain crap imho, no offence :)
    The old index is easyer and better by far when it's compared to this new one.
    For instance, I now get topics i'm not interested in at all.

    I don't like having the new posts the first thing you see. I like seeing all the forums at once.
    And it's too narrow, the middle column. It makes it feel squished.

    I see a lot of whining about the new layout but beyond a bit of culture shock I can see very little down side to the interface. Compiling a list of favorite forums will eliminate the need to hunt for them and do people realize that they can access the old index via a link near the top of the new one??? I've pointed that out and even furnished a link in response to a complaint thread that was moved to "Suggestions" but people --- just --- keep ---WHINING!

    It's alright. This always happens when changes are made to the site.

    I'm enjoying it so far... I get to play violin! :nopity:

    Shows how hard it is for ppl to break the simplest habits...and how they whine when they have to...

    and the word HATE..is misplaced in a hippie forum..
    say..I DISLIKE the new forum...never say HATE..:)

    Well,
    if that fucks up your life totally then I suggest you remove it.

    The old index does still exist, as you know I am not entirely stupid and especially not when it comes to computers and internet.
    However, it would be very easy if we could select which index could load.
    Having to press the link to the old index everytime I get here is quite annoying.

    Yes I know you can bookmark it, but if I type www.hip it will auto load this forum, which saves time, and if you use the "home" button, that no longer works properly and wont take me back to the normal index, but to that new index...

    I did read what you said,
    but are you even paying attention to what I am saying? ;)

    But hey,
    I guess giving comments has no use as I think you have made your decission already?
    By your posts you give the suggestion. unless I misunderstood, that you have no intention on bringing the old one back as standard anyway even though the majority seems to prefer that? :)

    You snooze, you lose... (oh, and you've LOST so much, I feel sooo sad...)

    Sorry but this site is now growing too fast to list all the forums on one page, esp. the index.

    Get used to it.

    I'm coming round to this new layout. It just takes time! I'm visiting bits of the forum I havent been to in years!
    A scrollable old forum layout could perhaps be put below the new list of active threads? Then that would be the best of both worlds.

    Yes, and there are NEW features on the site that are being highlighted (more coming soon). There's more to this website than forums now.

    I think it's time to move this thread to a more appropriate forum, no?

    BTW, we're not testing the homepage anymore, it's a done deal as of yesterday.
