I am currently unemployed. It is a big concern. They actually look fine when pulled back and thats also why i opted for the smaller dreads. I have a few people that i know in the hospitals that are kind of hippish so I may be working with them. Otherwise, I will have to hide them.
Hey, I'm Don. I'm 22, living in Southern Ontario, working as a baker at Tim Horton's and sitting comfortably in Genderfuck Purgatory. Don't feel much like a guy or a girl...just somewhere in the middle. No dreads at the moment, but I had them while I was in high school and I'll be starting a new set as soon as my hair gets long enough. Kinda psyched about it. The plan is to eventually say fuck the world an join a pothead-friendly commune if I can find one that will take me. See you all around the forums.
I lost you after the mentioning of Tim Horton's....mmmmmm Welcome, nice open intro! You'll figure it all out eventually.
Hello all, my name is Cody, I'm 17, I live in Texas and I'm currently pursuing to get dreadlocks and of course my parents and hair length (I have a mohawk so i have to shave it soon) are the only things getting in my way haha. I just found these boards today, so I decided to register and make friends with the people here and maybe get some advice when I need it I love sports,I love my xbox 360, I love to hang out with friends, and I love my girlfriend lol
Howdy! My name is Sigurd, I'm 16 - becoming 17 this month, lol.. I live in Denmark. Ayway, I've always wanted to grow dreads, but I don't know how to! So I've just begun letting my hair grow a couple of times, eventually cutting it because I didn't have the patience. But this time I'm more serious about which is why I joined this site. I'm hoping I can get some advice, etc. About myself? I'm very passionate about music! I play the guitar, piano, ukulele, now trying to learn playing the sax. Can I get dreads right away or do I have to wait till my hair grows longer?
O hia Been growing my dreads for 10 years. Started to trim them back to keep them at waist length. They are thick, long, and HEAVY. The weight is the main reason I havent let them go longer. I hope this forum can provide some methods to deal with the weight of long and thick dreads.
I will post up some good ones in a couple days when I have access to some of my better quality pictures:sunny: Cant really see length in that pic, most are 20-40 inches long, anywhere from 1/2 inch to 2 inches thick. last I counted was around 70 dreads or so I think.
My name is Toni. I'm 32. I love dreadlocks! In fact, my older cousin-in-law have dreads. About 40% of the population of where I live now have dreads as well!
LOL, does this forum cater for people that have had dreads that long? Think the last one got ejct-seated a while back
