Hmm..... Why did the paranormal investigation thing not work out? Not enough clientele? Perhaps you simply have a problem in finding the right market for your services. That's what I think you should do for a living. Or something else you really care about. I'm in the school of thought that a job should be something to keep you afloat only until you can find something better. And that something better is something you really like. Let me give you a homily. I was hanging out with some of my nerd crew a few weeks ago watching the Dallas San Antonio. Dallas won, it was horrible. But all my friends crew are computer programers. His boss, who is still in his 20's and pulls in 6 figures and I were talking. He told me he used to live in Hawaii. He didn't have a job then, and was living in a hippie commune. Hawaii has a law where if you have a fishing pole, you can be on any beach at any time. So a bunch of hippies are just vagrant on the beach. And he told me if he wasn't married now, he would much rather be homeless in paradise then pulling in 6 figures working at a boring job in Dallas. And that's my discourse about jobs. Only do something you love, or else, find somewhere better to be. The futures open for you.
well im actually doing great on the paranormal thing, got a great client right now, but i dont charge money for our services, its a non-profit organization,. im going back to school to be a sign language interpreter, but before then, i need a temporary job, and i dont know where to work. day care maybe. i cleaned out the call centers...
That's good. Um, then try to find something you wont hate till you get through school. My sisters a lab tech and she doesn't do a damn thing and she says it's okay. The day care thing might be more up your alley. Finding something you can get joy out of is the key to going home and feeling energized at the end of the day.
if i could make money with my paranormal group, that would be sweet, im working on making a dvd, and were throwing a concert plus a huge convention in the spring too, but all the money goes to the group. we need it.
yeah, started working on that. it'll take a while, but yeah, thats a great idea. im gonna have my husband help me write it, he writes songs for his band, and hes really good, and im not so talented in that area.
Right now I'm applying to places I think I could stand working... going back to school for nutrition or to be a personal trainer but in the meantime... I'm applying at HUMANE pet stores, music stores and book stores.
i have to be behind a phone or something, i get to anxious, and im great on the phone, ill probably do some sales or customer service till we get going to move. i wish i could donate plasma, since im well medicated and i have low iron, last time i went, i started to faint, so now im scared, i used to live on just donating a few years back, it would be great extra money, i think i might give it another try, but god do i hate the feeling of fainting.
I have wanted to donate plasma so many times but never have. How long does it take? How much does it hurt compared to giving blood? What do they pay you there? I might do it soon... I worked seven years on the phone... telemarketing for seven years. Omg... I dont think I could ever work on a phone again... =/
Well goodnight everyone... I bought Borat today so I'm gonna go watch that (already saw it but loved it) and then get to sleeps. Adios.
yes it hurts its a huge needle, it takes an hour to 2 hours sometimes 3 here, and i could get a job sticking people easily, so that tellls ya how experienced these ppl are. but its like 60 bucks a week,. if you go twice .
Does it just hurt when they first stick it in or does it continue hurting? I kinda have a thing for needles... I love them.... I had to give myself a shot in the thigh not too long ago and it was soo scary but fun, fun, fun... but I dont know... a HUGE needle... that is what I've heard... I guess if it doesnt hurt the whole time.... and yeah the other person i knew who has donated plasma told me it takes in the 2-3 hour range.... but if you do an internet search itll tell you 40 mins. or some bs. I didnt buy that. Well, the way I see it is I can try it and if I cant stand it, I dont have to do it again. An extra 240 a month for having needles stuck in me sounds grand.
Thanks... I'm going to go have a smoke and then when I get back see if ghost replied and then head off. Have a good night/morning guys.
