Telephone Etiquette

I can always tell when I'm on speaker phone cuz the sound quAlity goes to shit...jeez, get a headset!

 

I'm gonna say really inappropriate things in some of my weird voices and show you!

 

Us 'speaker phoners' aren't doing anything wrong! Stop treating us like criminals. Come on guys, hell no, we won't turn off speaker phone, hell no!

 

I got it the first time, thank you. No it's always good to learn from your mistakes.
It's like Acek said, use your head set. much better for everyone.

There's nights, Rainy and Joe... I hate to admit this...

I wake up in the middle of the night sweating and cursing.. I have those recurring dreams that I'm running on speaker phone...over and over...

Sorry about the double post Joe. My phone is a butthole sometimes.

 

Now whenever I read a post from you, I'm probably going to envision a phone that is literally a butthole.. I hope this doesn't last long though..it's unsettling

Don't phone me.

It's like pushing in a queue. And don't get pissed off if I don't answer, I don't own a phone so I can satisfy everybody else.. it's for my own convenience. I'm not obligated to pay attention to this little buzzing thing, cos it's annoying and intrusive.

 

..or I guess I'm just gonna imagine the butthole phone everytime I come back to this thread...

If a client calls me I WILL stay on the phone with them until business is done.
If you don't that's your problem.

I want to talk to you at the moment I'm dialing your number. Not when you determine when to get back to me.

Not everything needs to be public all the time. In fact way too much is public already.

Dude chill. Even phone conversations that are not being put on speaker phone don't stay secret for long.

 

Why would I be on the phone with your clients?

I don't/can't talk to you at the moment and if you leave a message I will get back to you at my earliest convenience.

I am chill. Thank you for being concerned about my blood pressure. Perhaps your conversations don't stay private, but mine do. I greatly value my privacy and always respect the privacy of others.

 

1. I stop or severely slow own my service delivery (see good olde British aloofness and awkwardness)
2. Oops - Tis is something I do do (Stubbly olde fingers = not a good texter one makes)
3. Defo don't like this - delete automatically - if they want me they'll ring back
4. Yep, I do this too - especially when (see part 5)
5. See above = get one' own back time
In general, seems etiquette is a thing of the past I find - with Sarcasm and good olde British restraint in and upon adversity

 

Bad phone etiquette is calling someone so it shows up on caller ID as the IRS or their medical insurance provider and requesting information hehe

 

I text myself shopping lists and sometimes the message gets delayed and doesn't send. So then I get a text later on and think I'm getting a text from someone. But it's just from myself.
