Sometimes those strange calls are just to check if that number is a valid number and if u answer no one is there. But now they know it's a good number. Idk tho, sometimes they'll keep calling till u finally answer and they be asking for so embody else and u tell them they don't live here and a month later they'll call again.

Ha, I always pick up unknown numbers.. though I rarely talk on the phone or get many calls... I probably secretly hope it's some long lost friend or the love of my life I havn't met yet, haha. Also if I have a missed call from an unknown number then I call back and ask who it is, it's usually a wrong number and they were trying to reach someone else..

I am pretty awkward talking on answering machines......it feels unnatural, so it makes me talk unnaturally.

I don't like when people hang up on my voicemail. I always leave a voicemail saying what I'm calling for if the person doesn't answer..

The proper thing is to tell them they're on speaker phone lest they say something that may be offensive or someone doesn't want to hear. I.E. A surprise birthday, anything..

I don't think it's bad etiquette to put someone on speaker phone. Sometimes people are busy with their hands and need to use the speaker phone (that sounds kinda dirty). Just text when it's concerning surprise birthday parties, haha...

There's nothing wrong with speaker phone at all. I just think it's better to TELL the person that they are on speaker phone early on in the conversation.

Example; I took a call on speaker phone, hands were busy cooking dinner, from my brother. My brother and I got talking and he said something benign that hurt the feelings of he woman I was dating at the time, who was in the room.

Later, when I explained the situation to my brother, he told me that he was insulted I left him on speaker phone during which he said things in assumed confidence he wouldn't have said to a person's face because it would hurt their feelings.

We all do it. It happens.

I think people can usually tell when they're on speaker and they'll ask if they are or not. It echoes and doesn't sound as clear. If I put someone on speaker then they have trouble hearing me, I say "oh you're on speaker.." but then sometimes they still can't understand me.

So your bro was talking shit, eh? Ha, I think people shouldn't say things about people they wouldn't dare say to their face, but I guess that's another discussion.

He wasn't talking shit. He wouldn't do that. It was more... I dunno, probing for information.

Yeah we have these devices implanted in our pineal glands (can't spell what it's called...doesn't really translate...) that use quantum entanglement to collect and transmit human consciousness.

It also allows for easy integration with the native species of this planet

Yeah... That's what I said earlier in this thread. I realised it was inconsiderate after I did it and was told. Is there anything wrong with that?

I became aware of it once I was guilty of it myself.
