The type of humor presented in Anchorman is very specific. I know a lot of people who HATE it.

 

Yeah I understand, especially where it comes to Will Ferrell This movie has to be his highlight.

 

I love it, though. Or I did, when it first came out. I binge watched it at the time and haven't seen it for several years. That and Dodgeball.

 

I enjoyed Semi-pro as well but overall I dig Ben Stiller comedies like Zoolander better than the average Ferrell movie.

Anchorman is funny but will Farrell is the same in every movie, he gets old fast.

I don't like Ben stiller but I do like most of his movies

 

You know Ben Stiller? I have no opinion about the guy except that he gets very funny roles and portrays them well.

I just don't really care for him as a comedic actor. He always plays the same anal retentive, uptight character. But his movies are usually pretty funny, moreso for the script than Ben Stiller's acting

Hmm maybe you're right. Almost everything about Zoolander is funny, I love Owen Wilsons character too. I should watch it again sometime soon! It is simply hilarious :cheers2:

I think another actor in this genre that often is repeating himself in a nonsuccesful way is Adam Sandler. A great exception is Don't mess with the Zohan (imho)!

 

Im not a too big of a Ferrell fan, But IMO step brothers takes the cake for his best. It ranks up there with harry and Lloyd.
