Swap box???

did letlovin dissapear? really wanted to have the first successful swap box.. oh well

Maybe he skipped town, perhaps the country.. and ran off with only the contents in the swap as supplies for himself.. I believe there was clothing in there, toothbrush, journal, etc...

 

Maaaaybe instead of accusing him of taking off with the box, we could just accept that life happens and shipping is expensive and maybe, just maybe, there's something serious going on that's holding up the box? I really really don't see a longtime member with thousands of posts just dashing over a swap box. Maybe we should be worried about him not signing in for 3 weeks instead of worried about the box. Also, don't forget, I'm out this go-round, so I'm not on the list anymore.

I'm not worried. I really don't care about the box, it was just one of my ideas that resulted from my boredom. I was joking about him skipping town. He probably is just taking a break from the forums.

 

There is only one logical explanation for this mysterious disappearance - the swap box is cursed.

OK folks, I'm sorry about the extended delay. Some crazy shit went down and I had to skip town for a while. I tried to send it out before I left but it didn't happen. Instead of getting into the details, that most of you wouldn't believe anyway, I'll just offer my apologies again and hope that we move on. I sent it out last week sometime so it shouldn't be far from its next destination. It cost me 20 bucks to send it first class to Canada, still in original package.

Wow, this swap box shit is silly with the amount people are spending to send packages out. But I guess it's nice if you have that kind of money to blow.

 

That's why I dropped out of it. I'm living paycheck to paycheck and every now and then I get lucky enough to get a shift delivering or waiting tables and get some tips, but I'm just barely catching up from my 9 month hiatus from work. I'm disappointed that I can't guarantee I can afford the box or get it sent off in a timely manner because I know exactly what I'd want to put in it, but hopefully I can jump in on the next one.

 

am glad your swap box is on the move again...I always love gathering things to send to people.....tailored just for them.... lol

 

Pretty sure I said in this thread a few times before sending out that shipping could get upwards to $20.. I really don't have much money, but now-a-days 20 bux really isn't that much money at all.. so all the debbie downers who aren't participating should stfu because people who are participating were aware of shipping costs.. stop trying to suck the fun out of this
