I hade 2 big surgeries when I was younger. I have scoliosis, that’s when your spine is curved. They found that out when I was five, and I hade to be in a brace till I was 13, I cried so much when I found that out. The first surgery I hade Was when I was like 9 years old the seconded one I was 11.
You'll be Fine. My Thoughts and Prayers are w/you for a speedy recovery. Yes, I've had several non-out patient surgeries (overnight stays) 2 planned 1 emergency.
I think you will do just fine crystal!! your a tough girl and I know you can get through this, I dont blame you for being scared, i would be too. I had my cartlidge in my knee repaired when I was in 9th grade, i still have the lovely 4 inch scar across my whole freakin knee. I cant remember if i was scared or not. I knew it hurt like a bitch when i woke up and i had to be on crutches for almost a month wearing this big ass brace from my ankle to my thigh..(was a reaaaaaal long time ago, before the lazer surgery shit). My mom had quadruple bypass surgery, i remember her being scared and I was hella scared for her too.
Yikes... Try not to worry about it though... you'll be fine... No surgery could mess up that body. The closest thing I've had to surgery is just getting some stiches. Take it easy, ok.
Instead of freaking out think of our gov't in session down the Road/gas prices/something else out of your control... ...just remember to periodically breathe deep n focus. *L*
I had hernia surgery a few years ago, my nuts were killing me. I doubt you had that particular problem.. But they yanked about 20 pounds out me, they said what they took out set a record at the hospital.. They gave me drugs, and I felt better.. I got through it. You will too... I bet you were the prettiest patient on the ward today..
I have fractured both my wrists, sprained ankles, and dislocated my left elbow. The elbow was the only thing >of those listed above< that i needed surgery on. I was 5 years old, first major injury I had ever had. The doctor totally fucked up my left arm. For a few months, I couldn't touch my left hand to my left shoulder. Trust me on this, I tried VERY hard, i'm a determined person, it just wasn't possible. The doctor who performed surgery didn't encourage therapy after surgery >which BTW is VERY important, as i found out with my broken wrists< 10 years later..my left elbow pops, grinds, clicks, etc when i'm doing push ups, or any armwork in general. It hurts like hell. This makes pushups very complicated for me..but it's getting better, the more I do armworkouts, the more I don't realize it. Nehoo..my surgery sucked..hopefully your doctor is better than my Doctor was.
yeah i'm home it really hurts to cough, laugh, yell or move haha but i'm taking my pain meds as perscribed i'm a light weight they make me feel woozy..
