What happened to the debate? What happened to the issues? Justwow, do you have anything to say besides rhetoric? Why catagorize everyone who doesn't argee with you as liberals? I am not. Only one third of China's economy is controlled by the state. I think that would make them a hybrid model, a blend of Capitalism and Socialism. Not by my definition a "true" communist state. Peace and love
He hates america, yes. he's also making revisions to their "democracy", so he may serve unlimited terms (real legitimate), like a wannabe Castro; hence, why I mentioned him.
Well, sorry for the rhetoric, it's just surprising sometimes how much people have forgotten in the last five years. The issue here is whether Bush and the troops exist solely to further a giant capitalist conspiracy. Well, believe that if you want. Some of us still have hope in this world, instead of writing it off on cliché ridden and paranoid thinking.
lol paranoid thinking? well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. because we all know how terrorists just might invade our country, and take away our rights. some of us just aren't as naive, and can remember back to even 18 years ago...
In the past five years my friends and family have had more of their legitimate freedoms taken away by this government than any terrorists could ever dream of. And I'm supposed to feel free?
"well if you don't like it, why don't you leave?" (typical idiotic, pseudo-patriotic response) charise, the people who are not easily blinded by flag-waving and the emotional decision-making following 9/11, feel your pain.
instead of picking on the kid (just wow) why dont some of you haters go back to around pages 34 and 35 of this thread and answer my questions? the last 3 pages have just been a bunch of people with nothing to say except hate and anger. or did you just ignor the posts because you already know you dont have a answer?
Well, I was trying to get Justwow's attention with that, but he likes to avoid responding to my posts-I'd like him to think about what I'm saying instead of just hitting us with a bunch of rhetoric.
Ok then. If people flying planes into buildings isn't enough to convince you that we are ALL marked for death, then nothing will. Thank heavens there are people who do see this threat, and are acting to meet it. All this "9/11 was made up" stuff is shit. Why now do they decide to set their conspiracy into motion, after all the years of better opportunities, not to mention less EXPENSIVE ones! The anti-Bush argument makes 0 sense.
neither does the argument of supporting a presedent that sent forces into an ill-planned "war". we're all marked for death? if that's not a paranoid statement, I don't know what is. gringo, I read your responses on 34, 35...I agree that their interrogation tactics are brutal and barbaric, but our torture tactics aren't much better. Honestly, Bush made a huge mistake by waging this little "war", and it's going to cause a lot of unnecessary casualties. It's just as unpopular as Vietnam was, and we have about as many answers now, as we did then. forgive me for saying this, but dissent is a good thing; it's american, and so is questioning authority. The founding fathers preached it.
Nobody flew a plane into my home. The government came to my family's home and unjustly destroyed their lives. Do you care about that, justwow? Do you care about what this government unjustly does to its own people for the sake of a profit driven justice system?
How does one know that Osama Bin Laden was to blame? Some of the supposed hijackers are still alive today. Does one depend on what the media says? In Rwanda, the media claimed that the Tutsi rebels shot down the Hutu president's plane, although there is more evidence that supports it was Hutu extremists that were responsible. Shouldn't we as a people think about what we are told instead of believing it blindly? Do you believe that 9-11 wasn't a conspiracy? Then how do you explain its occurance? peace and love
It's true the war was ill planned, but I'd say under the circumstances we have done an unbelievable job in giving hope to that country, in the midst of such turmoil. And this war IS a response to 9/11, and starting in Iraq we are creating free nations who will at least have a chance to become educated about the west, and to make up their own minds about us, UNINHIBITED by radical Islamic thought.
Are we supposed to wallow in this 'freedom' rhetoric, regardless of what our own government does to us and to people around the world, unjustly? Am I supposed to feel better just by telling myself I'm 'free'?
yes; meanwhile, our troops fight for the freedoms of another country, making the whole "troops fight for our freedoms" claim sound that much more ridiculous.
