I want the original sega game gear with original sonic. Last time I played that I think I was 10 or 13 years old.
I loved my SNES more than life when I was little. Got it in '93. Sadly my Dad got it when my parents got divorced, lol. Maybe I'll inherit it when he dies, but I wouldn't want to come between them after so many years together. I used to play Super Mario World nonstop. Then we got Super Mario All-Stars, Donkey Kong Country, The Lion King, Beavis and Butthead, Spider-man and the X-Men, SWAT Kats (lol) and this weird Pac-Man game where you would direct him around this little world on missions... it was kind of dumb, but entertaining enough for me when I was a kid. I rented Earthworm Jim a few times and that was fun... Mario Paint was something to kill an hour or two. My dad played (and still does play) this game show gladiator-type game called Super Smash TV. That and Zelda, which I didn't learn to appreciate until just last year when I got Minish Cap for my DS. I could never get into Sega, but that was probably because all I ever was exposed to on the Sega was Sonic, which seemed really pointless to me (sorry, Sonic fans). Kirby was my one that got away, though. I played it on ym neighbor's NES, but could never find it for SNES. It wasn't until later that I found that weird one for the SNES, but a few years ago, my bf got me a bunch of Kirby games for my DS and it was on. I was hardcore obsessed with Kirby for about a year. Then he got me MediEvil for the PSP and it was all over, lol. Had been looking for that one since childhood, too. It's so hard for me to play the games that are out today. I've been trying to play a silent Hill game for the past few months and I've picked it up maybe three times before I've gotten frustrated and put it down. They're so damn involved. I have ADD and my life is utter chaos. I don't have the kind of time or attention span to dedicate my entire life to them the way they require. Old school is good enough for me. I'll leave the rest to the hardcore gamers... who scare me a little if I'm being honest...
i got loads. my favourites are mech warriors super r type super mario top gear another world yoshi island super mariokart nhl 97 blazing skies super strike gunner adams family street fighter 2 krusty's fun house super tennis
^ Not only are they so involved, but most of the time, you're not really doing anything but following the games instructions.
in an era of roms and emulation why the hell does anyone "miss" playing games, or "wishes they wouldnt have sold their system"? on my computer i have every snes, genesis, n64, gamegear, GBA, NDS, Sega CD, sega master game. i also have sega saturn games but i cant get the emulator to work.
^^not the same. it's WAY better to play on the real system with a real controller. so unless you have a USB controller for each system...i'm not jealous i had smash tv for regular nintendo. now i have a playstation disk with a lot of old games and that's on there
the controller i have is very similar to a ps2/3 controller (with better analogs and better grip). the setup for the 64 is more comfortable than a real 64 controller and the controller itself is just as good or in most cases better than the systems original. in no way is it better to play on the original systems for any reason. the graphics for the emulator are better (HQ) and the sound is the same if not better. i dont really understand why you seem to think that...
well i've only ever played emulators with keyboard/mouse. i suppose with a real controller, it'd be cool
like i said the 64 controller i have setup is better and more comfortable and the analog stick is much more cooperative than the 64. also you can have the option to use the analog instead of d-pad in games, so playing zelda on NES or SNES is much more comfortable than the dpad, and smoother. theres really no downside to it whatsoever.
