if you're playing mario 64, I totally understand. The jump and camera system in that game are completely wack

I dl-d a couple of emulators and ROMs and have a lot of fun playing old NES, SNES and Genesis games on my computer.

I remember playing Astroid and Pong on a 1984 Atari game system. Man, I feel old.

I could never get into the original FF... but I'm weird because to my knowledge I'm the only person who thinks FF II (US FF II, for the Super) is one of the best ones.

How about Chrysalis? Anyone ever play that for the original NES? That game was cool.

^^ Ok Prana, now I have to ask you...

Final Fantasy VII. Do you think it is as brilliant as so many RPGers do? I think it's cool as hell.... but I just don't understand all the love it gets (and Cloud... he's alright, but I don't get why so many people LOVE HIM). If your answer is yes, please explain what it is you love about it so I can maybe appreciate it for myself.

PS: The Kain/Cecil storyline was great!!!! I think that's what drew me in to FF II so much.

I thought FF VII was brilliant (and FF IX the last good game in the franchise). I think a major part of why FF VII achieved classic status was Aeris' death. It was shocking and led gamers to realize that you can't take anything for granted in gaming anymore. And of course Sephiroth was an uber cool villain.

but yes super nintendo rules. kirby super star, original snes starfox>n64 version, and donkey kong country 2/3. games that take skill.

nintendo is my favorite but the old console play station had a game that was just as great as the donkey kong country series. and that is crash bandicoot.

there was a game that kind of copied crash bandicoot for the game cube. it is called pac-man world 2. I really enjoyed it but it was a short but challenging game.
