broken water pipes, flooded houses, broken furnaces, I guess I could list much more --- Chopping wood, carrying kerosene on ice .. oh its a blast

 

I did, somehow manage, to keep any pipes from freezing without shutting down the system and draining the lines... It was close to that though.

Winter here is like some peoples summer. I still bitch and moan about it being cold at 15c though. (~60)

relatively short distance moves are not unknown to me. more then 40 years of my 67 year life, were lived in placer county, in the northern and eastern half of california. and not all of them temporally contiguous either. the good part of the state that most people who have never been there don't think of california as. just as i'm sure most people think of oz as the null arbor.

first day of spring here brought some ankle deep snow

also hip deep in the truck seat because i forgot to put the window all the way up

 

15C .. mostly muddy

 

we're probably 3 weeks to a month away from the "everything smells like mud and dogshit" stage of spring

 

^That stage is worse here...although my house never smells like dog shit.....or shit of any kind....except people's shit.....
