i posted this a couple years back but my sister was giving me my passes at willcall at this very show when some dude comes up and says thanks to her for handling his ticket requests and she introduces bob ezrin and his son to me...

i was 10th row center for this...close enough for gilmour to smile at us puffing away our honey joints....back then bho wasn't so known yet and everyone was asking us for a toke off out stogies

good times David Gilmour, Richard Wright, "Comfortably Numb" 2006 Live massey hall Toronto

i am guessing if you find the stoner chat or random facts for the enxt day after the show you will see this original post.....bet pete can find it 9th April 2006. was the show...so pete find my posts the next day will ya?....i'm way tired and going sleepy time now :)

i was working the concert at 87 pink floyd, guarding the frozen pretzels as i like to say. i missed half the show.. but that was also the backstage exit was for the band. Run like hell ended the entire band walked past me ,, Gilmour, Write and Mason no more than 6ft from me. totally worth the 8$hr.

    I done security for a concert :D
Parkway drive, some shitty Australian scream core shit. I see their name plastered on festival flyers. It's enough to dismiss any interest.

one time we were out to eat with hubby's family. someone remarked how fast the food was ready (and with so many different dishes ordered) and i, being the unsuferable know-it-all that i am, piped up that its because a wok is basically used over a fucking jet engine. super hot, super fast, and on your plate.
people have nothing but disdain for my existence i swear... the condescension came down hard...
but the employees overheard, thought it was great i knew what i was talking about, and offered to show me the kitchen and how they do it.

so anyway, what i was getting at is- for the home cook, outside is a good idea for wok food. set up a propane burner, like a turkey fryer, and bam. you got your high heat fast without cooking your kitchen.

if by some miracle i can construct an enclosure, i might get chickens today. we are going to visit our friends who have extra, and im bringing my seed stash. i have some stuff soaking to plant today, some things in pots that need to go out today, and more flower seeds to scatter. i figure if i can shade out the weeds with zinnias i shouldnt have to tend it as much, and will be able to get to doing the backyard. oh, and i was looking into it, and it seems like 2 does and a buck should produce more than enough buns for a rabbit supper every week, and then some (video i watched estimated about 42 buns per doe per year) so when we get set up for that i will have better confidence that i dont have to scale the operation up without space. i figure most/ all the forelegs would get packaged up to be cooked like chicken wings.
so we will have chickens, for eggs. and rabbits, for meat.
i think im going to need a barn. small barn, but still.
and i REALLY need a potting/ soil station. i like to fill a smaller bucket with my soil mix when i plant stuff out, but i mix stuff different all the time. it would be easier if i could just "shop" for my soil amendments in my own yard. one scoop manure, two scoops compost, etc. plus we have mycorihizae and inoculants that get added sometimes.
so basically i have to build all the things.

i looked into guinea pigs (cuy is the word for the meat) and i might try them, but if i recall correctly there are some reproductive issues that can happen, i will have to look into it again. they are easy to hide as pets as well, though they are louder than rabbits day to day.
oh, and they have skin like humans and pigs, its very attached to the underlying meat, so you cant really skin them easily, and with hogs you singe off the hair/ bristles. if you are always rotisserie cooking the cuy it might not be an issue, but might be hard to make other dishes.

A friend of mine asked me to print a manual off for him. Turns out it's 508 pages. So I tell him it'll take me a while. He says he needs it tomorrow. I'm like whatever have you done for me? So I say OK I'll do it for an eighth of weed. Looks like I'm gonna be up all night printing. Good job I've got plenty of ink and paper.
