funny u should say that, im at a friend house that is in a band, but I can't commit due to pain. but we're going to see if I can work something out. classic rock jazz fusion these guys really like my lyric file of obscure pink Floyd and roger waters songs . I am just easing into the friendship now, but I jam with them at the music store space when I can.

I saw a Floyd show sometime around '75. Dark side was new then, they showed a film on a huge screen of somebody being wheeled through a hospital on a gurney.
That's about the extent of what I remember... :-/

I went to the Victoria and Albert exhibition of "Their Mortal Remains" which is a Pink Floyd museum exhibit. It was pretty cool. But I've never seen Floyd, sadly. Really cool band!

My mom saw them, and she had some Pink Floyd stuff on reel to reel (we use to have a reel to reel player). I like Meddle (I think it's called that). That was a short album by them, but interesting for me none the less. I was born in 1980, so Floyd's popularity had possibly waned by the time I found the reel to reel. I think The Wall was an 80s phenomenon though. Anywho... :)

"Echoes" takes one whole side of Meddle.
Got at least a dozen PF albums I've had for decades. All are good but I prefer some over others. My first rtr was early sixties. Tubed. I was in like first grade and recording shit. :openmouth:

    Cool.
Channel separation in digital audio exceeds 100db. Even the "leaky" vinyl record has at least 30db. Channel separation has never been a detraction from soundstage reproduction. The bigger differentiator is how accurate and stable the soundstage is. Many factors affect this but channel separation is not among them.

I envy you...I think I was born 10 years too early. I saw Floyd in Miami in '87 but Roger Waters had departed. It was still a good show but it would have been better with all of them there.

id seen Roger a few times. in the flesh was the best with Snowy White, Doyle Bramhal Jon Carin. Last roger was ok, the wall evolved with special effects .. I actually like Brit and Aussi Floyd more because they are pros and come around more often for cheap..
