waiting on the coop to be delivered. cant assemble it today, as soon as we get it into the backyard we gotta hit the road. my dad needs help filling a dumpster, and i know why hubby calls me muscles. i will probably have to dig around the attic too. i am going to do everything i can to reduce the amount of work my dad has to do. im not even going to count my dudes. all together they might make one adult effort. if they cant muscle today, they can pick up dog poop.

and i had a hummingbird visit this morning! i need to put out a feeder, but i didnt know they were around before, its the first one ive seen since we moved from the mountains.

Hummingbirds are amazing, I had a semi regular visitor out in the Mojave desert one time. Just so majestic to watch. Good for you.

 

I saw a dozen or more monarch butterflies .. the most Ive ever seen together..

 

Aren't they cool ?? After reading about their plight, last year I started a section in my veggie patch dedicated to them and all pollinators, they need our help now more than ever. The patch actually came up beautiful this year. Hey, I help them, they help me keep my garden well pollinated, a symbiotic relationship at it's finest....lol

 

I have 3 feeders going from the end of March until the last ones leave... Nowhere near the number of hummingbirds I had in California, but I have several families that nest here all summer.

 

I saw three of them within two feet of each other yesterday or the day before outside.

It's ALL in the curing, providing there's time and usually reserved for private use.
