In my experience with things I'm passion about, the moment you think you can't, feels like giving up on yourself and well I guess it depend on the types of characteristics a person has with their personality but for me, I can't let the giving up on myself beat my desire to be better at something so I think you should flip the 'tude and get where you want to be.

I have a constant battle with my passions because I know deep down I need to put all my effort into only one of them to be where I want to be, but I can't, because still I have other interests. So I do my best and I come out IMO above average in those things, but I'll never be great until I find out what it is to put 100% into.

 

I need to write. I have this story all mapped out in my head, i've written a little bit of it and I know the characters and the plot and how it ends, but there's something about sitting down and putting it all out there. I cant seem to do it

 

I was bumping the thread...sometimes refresh doesn't catch all the new posts

started doing drugs when they became legal up here and very quickly moved on to lsd, cocaine and finally heroin....and that was the first week....last word is he is robbing welfare checks to support his habit

 

Like actually devote the time? Or have you devoted the time and nothing came of it?

 

I don't mean I don't write, I mean it's like finding out you're playing one-on-one with LeBron or Jordan. Cool. Go out and have fun. But don't think you're actually going to win.

Yeah just devoting the time. I can usually get something decent out if I just sit down and do it, but I usually find a million and one other things to do instead. Like waste time here lol.

That's like my idea about a guy who spends his whole life researching religion and discovers he is actually god.

I also had another one of a guy who just died from an overdose and he wakes up, but he doesn't realise he's dead so he has to journey through the afterlife trying to get to the end. Of course he realised at some point he is dead but it's a black humor story of sorts where, he does all the whacky shit you'd do as a ghost. he also meets other dead souls too that are stuck in the same conundrum and a Polish goddess, ancient. Probably even more ancient gods/goddesses too, but not your main ones you'd think I'd write about and since they're ancient, they've watched the world grow etc so they're very knowledgeable.

Though I never did think of the ending, whether they're just stuck or they can move on.

I guess it plays similar to Anne Rice Vampires etc. but it's not all that fantasy, just I mean, similar in the ways of the ancient spirits and the conversations they have.
