I love cover bands they portray the original bands when they were at their best !
got tickets for the Illegal eagles next month !!

 

Cover bands are for pubs.
Probably one of the biggest reasons I was never good at guitar either, I didn't want to play other peoples songs... I wanted to create my own music. But I guess you can't create your own music if you can't even play someone else's easy beginner song.

My dad told me to start with like happy birthday or something, I said I'm not learning to play happy birthday lol. I learned a few Metallica intros, was just never articulated enough change chords without it sounding really shithouse and I guess I was never good at it straight away so I gave up.

The band I saw last.night their final song was a remake which I was disappointed in, but it was sweet child of mine so it wasn't too bad and the guitarist was playing it with his guitar upside down behind his head and nailing it too.

 

I never learned anybody else's songs...

 

True... I remember when I first played like my first night I was picking away and managed to recreate a fear factory song, I thought that was pretty cool.

I then started to get a song of my own going and I really liked it but I forgot to write it down, it would have just been an intro... I forget how it sounded now.

Now one of the guys in the Facebook group is sending me photos of all these medals he has getting me to identify them. I could but then I asked if he has a magnet and to run the magnet over the iron crosses and tell me what happens. He says only the centre of the cross is picked up by magnet, he was disappointed.

I said, don't be disappointed, it means it's genuine. Only the centre is magnetic, that's how you tell a fake from authentic, if you go to swap meets, ALWAYS carry a magnet.

He's thrilled.

 

Irm are you into drag racing?

 

Not really no. It's awesome, like the power, but I've never got into them. My dad used to take me as a kid though.

 

There is an older movie, from the '80s I think, called Heart Like A Wheel. It's about the drag racer Shirley Muldowney; thought you might like it.

some kind of a fire truck activity here I'm pretty confident that somebody overdosed on drugs again on that and I want to ask because they are you ran up there with their emt boxes and not a couple of old people they usually have a paramedic you know I mean like an old person is going to be treated like you know a respectable person. And not just send fire truck

I lost a girlfriend sort of because of Jimi Hendrix and LSD. We were young and hanging out this one friends house and I was sitting on a chair near the door.. This whole time a girl I didnt even know was up for some kissy time. When she was leaving she madly kissed me going out the door and smashed her phone number in my jacket . And everyone looked at me like what the hell was that about? I was stunned too. I get to calling her, we played and partied and kissy touchy pokey. Then one night I get this LSD, and Im sitting in the house. I put in the 8track of LadyLand and im out there and the phone rings. She wants to come over. im puddled on the floor when she gets there and Im like I dont even know your name man.. she was mad at me. I think lsd scared her anyways, like those stories you wont come back and stuff. I was fine with it, she was from another hood anyways. But I remember Jimi playing so much and the melted scenes of everything gloobbed together, her talking was cartoonish and I even laughed hard at her shoeslaces.
