It's difficult to compare anyone to Hendrix imo because Hendrix was elevating the guitar to levels unconceived of. Mayer was heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan and like Vaughan I might agree that he is more refined in his playing than Hendrix but I don't think either of them really display the pure sonic creativity that Hendrix displayed.

Nothing bad about Jimi... He started it all and with relatively antiquated gear by today's standards. I just get the feeling if he were just coming of age now he would probably end up being "just another guitar guy". I've seen kids these days play stuff way beyond where Jimi was when he was at his best. (Same goes for Clapton or any of the other greats from back in the day)

 

Maybe, I like a combination of virtuosity and feel. I find the stuff Hendrix did more impressive than say someone like Yngwie Malmsteen who just burns 2000 notes up and down the fretboard in 10 seconds. Even something simpler like David Gilmour's playing, I tend to find more awe inspiring (not directed at you Ty) than a lot of shredders.

I read it like.. You're bit of a princess if you use traction control because it's an aid for safety in a vehicle. So the mullet guy I assume is being a Redneck and he doesn't use driving aids and prefers to let the back end of his car hang out around corners, so he's calling the other guy gay for using driving aids lol.

 

Mind you, whoever created it should have said "truck" and not car. I was thinking about editing it but I CBF.
