well I've only read Carrie, The Shining, It, The Green Mile, Bag Of Bones, and The Tommyknockers. I've seen all the movies too. I must say Shining is my favorite. I was truly freaked-out by It and hate clowns since.. The Green Mile was really good too. Carrie is a classic.
^Those are all awesome choices Penny.^ I still love the Shining, and of course I prefer the original movie with Jacko over the remake any day.
well yes there is a difference sometimes someone can write a great story and not really be a great writer - sometimes someone writes really well or at least I like their writing and the story kinda sucks or.. it's not really important.. as in poetry for example.
If I was to make another top five (because five is hard to pick!) it would probably look something like this: 1. Storm of the Century 2. The Shining 3. Firestarter 4. It 5. The Stand
Ha I bet this thread got trolled so badly. I am too busy and lazy to look right now. I am hoping that it did, not because I dislike Stephen King that much, but because it would be funny.
I’ve read most of his novels My former girlfriend was obsessed with Stephen King most especially his short story The Long Walk (this was like 10 years ago) and she insisted that we drive up to Van Buren, ME and follow the route south taken by the long walk and the fictional characters Ray Garraty and Peter McVries. King wrote the short story under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. We managed to identify the approximate locations of where several of the long walkers were felled by gunfire including Collie Parker and Gary Barkovitch (who ripped out his own throat) prior to being shot Hotwater
I like his stuff, I think my favorite is the talisman... but he has a lot of great books. did you know his daughters a minister...weird lol
