Agreed on the sports. And I'll have to think of some unpopular opinions worth posting. Most of my opinions are pretty unpopular with a lot of people.
In that case, we could say music festivals, art exhibits, comic book conventions, movies and pretty much most other entertainment based events and merchandising are pretty superfluous. In no way am I saying sports can solve all the world's issues, but some of these events have ignited social change and MOST professional athletes are involved with their communities beyond the sports, which rarely ever gets mentioned. Lol funny timing for this discussion, as I see a guy with a Baseball hat and a Star Wars shirt.
True, on the TV show The Simple Life the question was always Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie and 99% of the time it was Nicole Richie (or at least prior to her gastric bypass surgery) now she looks like Karen Carpenter in the throes of anorexia Hotwater
this is why i only watch the browns... wouldn't this have made more sense 15 years ago when paris hilton was young and still making public appearances?
This may be an unpopular position but I think the great-grandfather in this case should be charged with negligent homicide A nine-year-old girl was accidentally shot in the head by her three-year-old little brother over the weekend, authorities say. Police in Alabama say Irondale third grader Kimi Reylander was critically wounded Saturday before being rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Kimi was reportedly shot after her three-year-old brother found their great-grandfather's gun on a nightstand in his home. "It appears to be a tragic accident said," Irondale Police Chief Ken Atkinson Upon hearing the gunshot, the great-grandfather, Joel Watson, ran to the bedroom. "I came in and when I came in the door, my son came out and said she had been shot," Watson said he left the firearm out without knowing his great-grandchildren were coming to visit. Kimi is the fifth person to be hurt in an accidental shooting by a toddler since Jan. 1. Also this year, at least four toddlers have accidentally shot themselves. Hotwater
As a Raider fan, I know all to well what you are referencing there Even 15 yrs ago, Paris was still not on my watch list nor Angelina Jolie for that matter. I always liked Scully from X files and she looks much better today than 25 yrs ago.
Yes, sending Peyton Manning off with the lowest Quarter Back Rating ever in the history of the Super Bowl! What a brilliant Rig!
lol Is anyone talking about that stat? That goes to show they don't care. Maybe it is my Raider fanness speaking. LOL
Yah the bit of commentary I've seen mentioned how inept both Offenses were but I didn't follow too much post game discussion.
Me neither. Post and Pre game commentary is a waste of a half a day. Then throw in a 30 minute half time....snore
Unpopular with a certain kind of american perhaps, but overall most people would probably agree that the granddad is the one responsible and accountable.
I believe our species self-domesticated itself, and it went wrong in a few places. Yes. It has something to do with your period. Four straight days without a fight and now you're acting like an insane person. I believe that zoos should be abolished. Slowly, but it should be done. Hunting for sport is stupid. Hunting for food as a necessity is more than acceptable. Religion is a tragic waste. A waste of life. A waste of time. A waste of money. A waste of knowledge. All wastes that could have been used to actually do the good they keep talking about. I believe churches should be taxed. I believe there is nothing wrong with enjoying looks from other women despite the fact that I'm in a relationship. I never got that shit in High School and I now enjoy how it confuses me. Say what you gotta.
-I believe the world is already very much over-populated and we are doomed to run out of resources. If people keep insisting on "making" a child with their partner instead of adopting because they obsessively believe they could only love a child if it's from their own blood, or people keep breeding dogs instead of adopting shelter dogs who need homes, we are just creating a bigger and bigger problem. I believe we need to get all the children and animals out of orphanages and shelters before we go on making more that we don't have the resources to take care of. -I believe one should live in a way which creates minimal suffering. You should aim to leave the world a better place than it was when you got here, and you should try to create as little negative energy as possible; there's already too much of it. I choose to make compassionate choices as much as possible. I eat a vegan diet because I do not believe in causing suffering to another living, sentient being when I have the option to eat things like fruits, vegetables, etc. I do my absolute best to be sweet, kind, generous, giving, and treat others the way I would want to be treated. I try to be merciful. In short, just don't be an asshole. That's all I really have to say right now, I'm sure I've got many more opinions lol.
strangeness is wonderful epicness ruins everything. technology itself isn't the culprit a culture that demands we do everything the most destructive way possible is christians may believe what they like i believe no good thing wishes to be feared
<3<3 You should check out "The Ethics of What We Eat" by Peter Singer. It gave me a new (positive) depth of understanding on what you describe.
As much as we try to be individual, think for ourself and profess a non judgemental approach to everything; society will eventually override our independence. As EventHorizon pointed out, Zoos should be closed but I fear the alternative will result in extinction, for some already on the verge. The Earth has much more to offer and show us, we just spend to much time looking up. Conspiracies are real and History is Jaded. Our DNA is shaped by our experiences, what we eat and how we live. The cleaner ( both in energy and physically) our lives, the potential benefits to our future offspring will exceed our own; thus in turn their own kin. We need to change ourselves to truly fix the world. We are the only species that 'bites the hand that feeds us'.
The world is rudderless. Whether it's religion, conspiracy theories, spirituality or superstition; whatever system you have chosen to believe in is just an attempt to shield yourself from the fact that no-one's in the driving seat on this one, baby The universe is not in a state of balance or harmony that we are in some way disrupting with our rampant consumerism. The universe is a mess of chaotic agents that war and fight and love each other with absolutely no hint of a great overarching plan. all life is inherently self-interested and incapable of seeing the bigger picture. Any semblance of order that we perceive is just our brains doing what they do to survive: attempting to recognize patterns in randomness even when there are none. These aren't cynical beliefs, or a call for inaction (see religion, conspiracy theories, spirituality or superstition, above.) We should protect the planet because if we don't we're all going to fucking die. We should not be cruel to each other or animals because that's a fucked up thing to do. Not because of some great earth spirit that needs apeasing or because we need to restore balance to the force. Also, katanas are not magic swords that can beat all other swords and cut through anything. (probably safe here, but jesus, in some circles this is the rankest heresy.)
