if corporations sold it, at least they would make it available to everyone. with the current system, whenever you move to a new town you have to wait a good 6 months before anyone is even willing to admit that it exists in the area.
as long as ANYthing is unlawful to posses, unreasonable searches and ceasures will remain inevitable. this is not to deny, that there are things many, if not most, people, can never be entirely trusted with. but if you can't trust an individual with something, you can't trust a government nor an economic interest with it either. the only real solution to the deadly force paradox is simply to not manufacture it.
Most of the people who get arrested for possession on COPS deserve it because the police (on the show) ALWAYS ask permission to search and the dumbasses who have drugs stashed in their luggage NEVER just say no.
gotta agree somewhat eavesdrop. although in many of those cases...most actually, the cop says he smells pot which gives him reason for probable cause to search the vehicle.
On one episode tho, a girl was about to get off with just a speeding ticket when the cop said, "Is there anything in your car I should know about?" and the girl goes: "No and then she adds; YOU CAN LOOK IF YOU WANT" So of course, he looks. Why wouldn't he? And there are drugs all over the front passenger seat.
COPs only shows idiots getting busted. You realize all those people sign release forms allowing the footage to be shown(and probably get paid a small amount too), otherwise they could sue the crap out of the network for using their image without permission. And so lovely our tax dollars going towards 3 or more LEO's standing around while one lectures the prostitutes, petty users and what not. You never see them get real criminals, just pathetic dregs. Whatevers easiest. The cops on 'COPS' are all pieces of worthless shit. C.O.P.'s= Cowards on patrol :biker:
Oi,Gongsha-wind it in,squire! My mate's neighbour's son's brother-in-law once worked part-time at Toys r Us...and he once arrested someone's granny at gunpoint all on his own, when her debit card got stuck in the machine! He's WELL brave!
What's hilarious tho is that most of the time the cops come off looking dumber than the criminals. There was this one episode where, like, 4 of them broke into a house and tackled a little Mexican guy because they thought he was committing a break-in and then it turned out it was the guy's friend's house and his friend gave him the keys and told him he could go in and use the shower.
LOL they really do. :smilielol5: I don't think the network needs release's signed by the officers, they are 'public persons' 's gotta be pretty embarrassing for them.
And what value is that video if we don't get to see the cop car get nailed by a train? I'm glad the cop is just fine, but I want to see the cop car get nailed, know what I mean?
The reason society has advanced as much as it has is sheerly due to the increasing number of people...the more people the more ideas, and the ease at which information can now travel is how we advance
