They Have NOT Died Off, But They Are Vunerable To A Disese Which Is Slowly Killing Them... Cheers Glen.
if i read clearly i would have not posted. i was thinking of the saber-tooth tiger when i read your original post on the subject. i will now remove myself from the conversation.
Educated does not necessarily equate to intelligent. Often the most educated people are the most indoctrinated and most unquestioning. Many atheists are just as bad as the worst religious zealots and are no more right in their beliefs. College is to real knowledge what Burger King is to real food. Most of the cocaine and heroin that enters the US is brought in by the CIA. Every major war in recent (and not so recent) history has been contrived to bring us closer to the end goal of a one world government. Every major "terrorist" event has been government-sponsored and government-orchestrated. The 60's drug culture (which continues today) was a product of the CIA. The feminist movement was a product of the CIA. Manmade global warming is a ruse. The main purpose of NASA is to weaponize -- not explore -- space. It is a fact that dietary fat does not cause obesity or heart disease, but rather protects against those things. Sugar (including naturally-occurring sugars) causes obesity, cancer and heart disease, and is a poison to the body. Iodine supplementation has the potential to change a person's life and drastically increase their brain power. Sex and sports are used to distract and hence "soften" the masses, making them easier to control. GENERALLY SPEAKING, liberals tend to be some of the most intolerant people (while preaching tolerance). A vegetarian diet is not suited for optimal health. Most doctors are little more than legal drug peddlers and know little to nothing about health and nutrition. The real power center of the world lies not with any government, but with the Vatican. Jews are often seen as wielding inordinate amounts of power in the financial and business world, as well as the media. However, that power was given to them originally by the Vatican to make them convenient scapegoats and divert from the fact that the Vatican runs the world. The Rothschilds gained their power by becoming Vatican bankers, and today control the world's economy. Go figure, because London is the financial capital of the world, and the square mile that makes up central London is, like Vatican City, an independent city-state, and both feature an obelisk (as does Washington DC -- another city-state). The modern banking system was established by the Vatican's Knights Templars. Most people go through life not having a clue about how the world really works, nor do they care to know and will vehemently attack whatever unconventional opinion goes against their conditioning.
You can have much knowledge but not understand the meaning of it. It's about seeing what's between things, and how the peices relate. Computers can store and manipulate vast amounts of data but they are dumb machines. They don't "understand" anything. They do what they are told and don't stop until told to stop. Any rebellious computer behavior is just a result of faithfully following flawed directions and the computer isn't intelligent so it continues to follow these instructions even if it results in destroying the system. Some people are like that, just "tools"
I would actually call this a pretty popular opinion. Unless you are in an area where vegetarianism is very common. Most people don't.
I think that Dan Brown's purpose is to write books that makes him a bunch of money, and he has succeeded at that.
Vegetarianism can be a healthy diet, but most people end up just eating a bunch of soy-based meat substitutes that are not good for you, as well as a lot of cheese and bread. It's hard to do it right with limited time and resources, but it is possible. I've recently added fish to my previously vegetarian diet and definitely feel healthier for it. Although I also started exercising more at about the same time, so that helps too I suppose, haha.
Yep. I'm a vegetarian. People don't really realize how healthy it is. Most people I encounter think I'll become sickly and weak. Extra points to all of the overweight people who always seem to ask: "BUTHOWWILLYOUGETYOURPROTEIN!!!" I would call myself very, very healthy. Much healthier than much of my SAD-consuming family. I think fake meat products can be a good way to wean yourself off of animal protein. I rarely eat them, unless they are offered. My boyfriend is a pescatarian and rather fond of fake meat. Whatever works for you. At the end of the day, veggies do tend to live longer (although I'm sure studies have been released to prove otherwise, but you can "prove" anything you want). Longevity and health are only a small part of being a vegetarian, for me. It's more about mitigating suffering of living things.
Yes, it is ment as fiction only. He uses intriguing points in history and religion to keep a bigger crowd interested and frankly that only makes his books more fun.
Fantasy is a horribly boring and cliched genre; especially when it comes to books. Adult animation is absolutely amazing. Recent technological advances have had a horrible effect on movies. Seeing tits and blood won't ruin a kid's life; and the MPAA's rating system is retarded anyway. Women aren't over-objectified as much as men are under-objectified, but that seems to be slowly leveling out. Downloading isn't a crime (but uploading probably is.)
Dude, what about detectives/thrillers! I agree in general though but it's all about finding the good ones. No need to read a whole genre when 90% bores me (but the other 10% can make me totally love the fantasy genre again)
I have my favorite books on top of my entertainment center; one's Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins; which involves Pan as a supporting character and a subplot starring inanimate objects on a journey across the US; and 5 of them are from Neil Gaiman's Sandman universe. 6/16 are fantasy. The genre's absolutely horrid overall, though. Detective thrillers are another horrible genre, overall; but I think fantasy's ratio is a lot worse. (I mean, obviously erotic fiction is the worst genre, but that one doesn't get the respect these other two do) Side note: Sandman is the best story ever told. Probably always will be. People too adult for comics are sure missing out.
