I like wearing glasses for that reason too, but I'd like it better if I could see things without having to wear them.
Any glasses wearers out there thought of laser surgery? I wear glasses and I have soft contact lenses to wear occasionally when I'm going out...I'm under the impression that laser surgery can go wrong in a tiny fraction of cases and leave you blind or near blind...Would you risk it? Anyone have more info?
No,I wouldn't. If you really think wearing specs is such a trial, imagine the fun you'd have with a colostomy bag. I know two peeps who have them and they just aren't fun. Suddenly, slipping on my specs to read a paper doesn't seem so onerous
Is that supposed to be bad? Sometimes the shoe fits. I usually have shades on in public except at night (though I still might wear them after dark if I'm on a subway or something) because it keeps everyone at arms length and looks cool to boot.
I would if they got too bad for me to use contacts or if the surgery advanced much more. I hear a lot of good about it lately, but I also know of two people who got it fairly recently that have extreme problems with dry eyes and lack of tear production.
risk of total blindness is very minimal. they only do one eye at a time for this reason. i hear its not particularly dangerous at all, i know some people who've had it with no ill effects, although the one i know best found it a little distressing immediately after the procedure as it caused her to cry for about 12 hours. i wouldn't myself, glasses are fine by me, i actually like wearing them, and am so used to seeing myself with them that seeing myself without them just looks...weird. plus its waaay too expensive for me.
Anyone can get their shrink to tell them that they're right and everyone else is wrong. It doesn't mean it's true.
well this one should be pretty unpopular here i think medical marijuana is a great idea its just too bad the stoners are ruining it for the people who could actually benefit
I agree. I'm a pot head and I'm pretty sure my quack of a doctor would be able to hook me up with an MM card but I won't do it. It's douche heads who do that are just as much to blame for cancer patients getting harassed by RCMP because the stoners are abusing the system.
I love wearing glasses, but dislike the huge giant ones worn for fashion. I don't like the idea of laser eye surgery... I'm happy with my glasses.
All my friends and families currently somewhere in the world nowadays have blogs. It's an overview of our web site blogoshere that is overflowing with information, photos, videos, virtual visits (delete as appropriate...not banned). You could spend hours looking at these sublime images. Beware, however, visiting this site too often can encourage you to give up everything to set off... You have been warned!
I have never had a Farcebook page, never 'tweeted' never written a 'blog' and just can honestly not see the fascination with why anyone would. It seems to me like the CB radio fever of the late 70s/early 80's. Everyone is at it/on it/trying to boss it/abusing it/can't live without it/on it 24/7.....and then suddenly one day PHUT!...and the craze was over. Those of us with CB radios today use them for work, not senseless incessant yapping-and the interwebz will be the same, given time.
Everyone thought Charles on Little House On The Prairie was the perfect Dad but he wasn't. He blatantly favored Laura. There was even an episode where Mary said she thought he liked her better.
