I'm not religious - agnostic, actually - but I have learned as much as I can about ALL religions and am constantly learning more. Understanding other cultures is key to getting along with others. There will always be the religious sheep that take things to the extreme while using their culture as a cover, but in general EVERY religion is based on doing good, right? The 10 Commandments are just basic morals. Karma can kick your ass, and if you believe in an afterlife...

In college, I worked at an upscale seafood/meat counter. Throughout the entire 4 years that I worked there I received 1 tip, and it was from a black man.

 

What I'm going to say is going to start A LOT of shit probably but here it goes....if black people keep bitching about how they are "unequal" then they never will be! What happened to the jew was terrible and you don't hear them moaning and groaning about how they were treated unjust! They overcame it and carried on with their lives. The truth of the matter is that every race has had something bad happen to them in some way shape or form. If you live in the united states and are white you aren't actually white you are a mixture of other races. I happen to be Polish on my mother's side and Irish/Creek Indian on my father's side.

Because many prostitutes (not all, of course) are victims. They only turn to selling sex out of bad circumstances. I also feel that keeping it illegal only futher endagers prostitutes, as they will be reluctant to go to the police if they are in dangerous situations, for fear of being arrested themselves. I think kerb crawlers should be prosecuted because they only contribute to the wider problem.

Exactly! Feminists want equal rights. Women parading as "feminists" who want more than that are femi-nazis. I refuse to call them feminists. And I do definitely consider myself a feminist. I would agree with what you said about the bible. And I myself have read it. It is actually an interesting fact, that more athiests seem to know more about what is actually in the bible than many who call themselves "christians" do.

Only when people are mature enough to communicate about inequality do we set an atmosphere to approach equality. Racism, Sexism, Classism, or Sexual Preference Discrimination - uncomfortable as they my be to talk about ignoring problems never solves them, communication is the key.
