The latest Star Wars rumor has Billy Dee Williams reprising his role as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars Episode IX

If the falcon and chewy are in IX then it is perfectly reasonable that lando is.

It's definitely one of the best, if not the best movie in the series.
    Really.
The fact that Disney allowed this to be made is a miracle.

It's also not dumb... but of course since it aims to be more than just some generic nitpick-proof plot-driven blockbuster, a lot of people take issues with it (mostly plot nitpicks, many of which simply suggest they didn't understand... and retarded fanboy criticism that ignores the much loftier aims of the movie). Seriously, there hasn't been a single criticism that hasn't been some snarky nitpick about the plot or some character decision or something along the lines of how it has betrayed everything that makes Star Wars Star Wars.

I recommend it if you like wacky Japanese films... the visual style of Akira Kurosawa in color, and the theme-based character-driven narratives of Hiroshi Teshigahara.

To be honest, I'm starting to feel like the sequels might end up being superior... but I am still waiting for IX.

    God that movie was shit.

My girlfriend dragged me to it... let's just say it actually stole a homophobic joke from the Police Academy movies, had a running gag about how black people are thugs who carry guns wherever they go, had a character whose English was supposed to be great but who was obviously just reading things he didn't understand from cue cards (with a cocky grin), and in the end (SPOILERS) the hero lets the real bad guy go for no discernible reason. It is set in New York, but it's like a version of New York concocted by someone who thinks that negative (but relatively harmless) stereotypes about Americans are funny.

It was less popular in China than Wolf Warrior 2, which I refuse to see... but I did see part One, and it played like an old episode of Airwolf or a direct-to-video movie starring Michael Dudikoff or someone similar, except full of terrible pro-Chinese military propaganda.

This franchise is now worth billions of dollars... and I can't help but think the Chinese government had something to do with that, because it definitely isn't succeeding on its own merits.

I've stopped using Roman numerals and started using this format: "Star Wars 8".

I get tired of pausing to do math as I'm reading along just to know which movie is being referred to.

Well at least for now Disney & Lucasfilms have decided to shelve most of the upcoming Star Wars spin-off movies, including Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mos Eisley: A Star Wars Story, Yoda, and Solo: 2 (because of its poor box office performance) and put their full focus on Star Wars: Episode IX.

I know what you’re thinking Mos Eisley: A Star Wars Story – really

A quick google search says there are conflicting reports on that.

Lucasfilm "Licking Their Wounds" But Not Halting 'Star Wars' Development

Not that i would have bothered go to the cinema for any of the spin offs. But i will be there first night for Episode 9.

They talk about marketing them properly, which would be for people that still go to the cinema regularly even for movies they are only half interested in. I am not sure who that is nowadays.

Not broad enough appeal even with star wars fans for half a these planned spin offs

Incredibles 2 has already by passed Solo in 1 week

There is a lot of confusion which has led to speculation and conjecture but as your own link indicated Solo will lose $50 million dollars and money talks

I honestly think people would come out for a yoda origins story. We already knew all about Han. And much of what he did before anh. We hardly know anything about yoda and what happened in the 900 years before anh.

 Tis truly sad how far the public ideal of what constitutes a good or great movie has fallen these days. Apparently as long as a film has grandiose special effects & a host of Marvel jokes it's good enough to possibly even be the best. Hey LOOK bright lights........oooooooooh the pretty colors! God that movie was great!

Plot nitpicks? So wait...........bombs being able to drop in zero g is a plot nitpick? Lasers arcing through space as though they have an arrow like trajectory acting on them is a plot nitpick?

Let me tell you something..........THERE'S NO AIR IN SPACE...........

Know what that means? That means that there would be no inherent friction in space to act upon the lasers & cause them to arc.

What about Leia's Superman rendition? Don't worry I won't argue the perfectly valid points of her sudden super plot force armor, or even how ludicrous the scene itself actually looks........or the fact that somehow.......somehow a single missile from a single fighter manged to blow the entire bridge of a heavily shielded capital ship straight to hell.........No no I'll just ask how, for the love of all logic, did none of the people waiting inside the hatch as she opened it get sucked unceremoniously into space? The decompression alone should've killed them all. Bad way for Poe to go no doubt.

So no............it's not all plot nitpicking, even though there were more than enough massive plot holes in TLJ to warrant any & all plot blowback........, no it's also simple pointing out of the shear stupidity you people like in the drivel these days.......:anguished:
