it was war, it was war, it was war.... that's your excuse? it was "war", so that makes it ok? And you also sound like a hypocrate when you say "peace" at the end of every post.
Stop whining. You're no victim. But you should know very well what a victim looks like... the terrified looks on their faces as you raise your gun?
Uhmm... thanks, but your post is not exactly an actually description of what happened during the Vietnam war years as it related to the draft. Military resisters and draft evaders were treated differently from each other. Check this out: http://www.afsc.org/youthmil/conscientious-objection/Vietnam-war-resisters.htm
Yes, silverhippy is just a cold blooded murderer pretending to be a hippy. All the more he turns it into a mockery when he says "Peace" after each of his post. How many women and children did you kill "in the name of peace", again, silverhippy??? How can you have peace when you were ordered to shoot everything that moved, and not only obeyed the order, but obviously you enjoyed it, and by your admission, you got good at it. The lives you have when you committed your war crimes will come back to haunt you, that's for sure. It is called karma.
The peace I send you is one of inter peace that you seem to need. I seem to have become an obsession with you. Is it like a fetish. I bet you would like to date me. First we will have to exchange photos. I will find one that you like. It will be during the war I will have a uniform on. I think I have one of me in the middle of a pile of throbbing meat. Do you think you will like that. Let me know. Peace
They are the best possible candiates to wish for peace. They know war first hand. And the horror of it. They would never wish it on anyone else. Peace
They don't need to wish for war, that's what we have Bush & Cheney for! I bet these war happy vets are gonna vote for McWar! He certainly represents their mentality. War is the ONLY solution they can come up with. I wonder why?
Post # 730 Uhmm... Dear Silverhippy, as a "peace loving" hippie, in military uniform, couldn't you have actually pretended you weren't too good at killing people... Perhap, early on during boot camp, the military recognized in you a perfect killing machine, and you simply went along with it...
LOL. Sorry, but that argument simply won't fly even in kindergarten school. Actually, Adolf Hitler saw action as a corporal during World War I, before he became the leader of the German people. And look at the clusterfuck of a mess he left behind...
And so because Hitler went on to try to rule the world means that no soldier has the right to wish for peace?
That's right. He could have chosen to not be proficient at killing people and chose to enjoy not killing people.
If a police officer carries a gun that mean they dont want peace in the streets? Unfortunaltely combat dont go to well with just pepper spray.
So any of your grandparents or uncles or anybody who may have had to fight in WW2, has no right now to wish for a peaceful life? Are you for real?
First of all, was WW2 the same war as the Vietnam War? The Vietnam War wasn't even officially declared a war.
If you insists that soldiers who had to fight World War II had a right to wish for a peaceful life, then, using your logic, the German Nazi soldiers who participated in the Holocaust and the invasion of Western and Eastern Europe had about the same right to wish for a peaceful life, at the expense of the lives of millions of Jews, gypsies, Poles, Slavs, Russians, etc.
When it was mentioned that some soldiers would be well qualified to wish for peace, you quoted Hitler as an example to disprove this theory. Now correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe that Hitler may not have been around for the Vietnam War. My comment was that soldiers who have fought in wars should be allowed to wish for peace. You stated some bullshit phrase about them having a gun in their hand. You also enlarged the print and laughed at your own joke. So, I'll restate my point. How is it hypocritical for an ex-soldier to wish for peace?
