Don't be so sure, freakylady-- all the snow melted, the weather turned warm and all my inside cats are now outside cats. I even started spring cleaning! Maybe, I can even get back to the stone work I stopped working on in December-- I'm getting cabin-fever.

Mostly, though, they used the litter box or went in the wood bark and debris behind the indoor woodpile which was on slate, so it shouldn't be too bad.

BTW--I checked out your website--pretty cool.

One thing, though-- I do hope you're going to line that root cellar (up north we call them "caves") with stone with an arched ceiling to support the soil above it. And, remember the venilation hole in the ceiling, otherwise you'll have a big-time humidity problem.

Why don't you build a smokehouse on that bank? I could mail you instructions and diagrams.

next chance you are looking for some really cool 60s and early 70s movies check out west world,starring peter fonda and yule brenner,another cool flick i haven seen in over 20 years is vanishing point,for some comedy try used cars,blazing saddles try em out and see if you can dig them
