i was never really fond of hip hop, but i do know a lot about music and music history. Of all the genres of music, I don't think there's been one that has undergone the brutal massacre which hip hop has endured. it seriously looks like shit right now. nothing like when it took actual talent to record a rhyme, or sampling another artists music because you didn't have any of your own--you know, before they came out with autotune? honestly, i can say that since the synthesizer, musical talent has suffocated. i'm not a fascist, i just don't think you can call someone who doesn't even right their own songs a music artist.
