"People come, and then they stay, After a while, may go away Some return - and when they do Change name and avatar, to something new"
When I was away for a few months, I added a note at the end of a few comments and sent a short PM to a few members who I have got to know quite well. I just saw it as common courtesy. PS, do you know what happened to operagirl.? Much to my surprise when she joined, I discovered that she actually sung opera and liked many of my favorite works.
no idea. she was here, and then she wasn't. it happens all the time, but more often it's someone interested in sticking things in their urethra or something like that as opposed to opera.
I have a bad story about a used needle. I picked one up and used it! Not my Sunday best that's for sure. This was in Denver in the year 2000. I didn't know anyone who used, so I didn't really know where I could get one. I picked it up, took it to my gf's house, bleached it in her basement, and used it to get high on speed. aye aye aye. very sad. not my best day.
As long as you cleaned it, their was no risk. I did my medical studies in the 60's and needles were sterilized and re-used, only being replaced when they got blunt. Even after major surgery, all the instruments went in the autoclave. Some surgeons still use the autoclave today to double check on everything prior to a procedure.
I quite agree. I think I am the only barefooter in Birmingham. Never see anyone else unshod. 40 odd years ago Moseley was a hippy / bohemian place and barefeet were common. Now it is gentrified and I seem to be the only one who is barefoot. ( R.I.P. my very good friend the legendary "Pete the feet" )
great moneymaking idea: be the person who sells umbrellas before that event. i don't think it's grammatically wrong, just kind of awkward. a better sentence would have been "some good people are not around anymore." but just omitting "still" isn't really right. "some good people are not around" just implies that there's nobody good here. or at least that there's good people elsewhere, but they may or may not have ever been here.
