Dude, stick to a definition. I agree, the Scandanavian countries aren't Socialist. They're Social Democracies--i.e., welfare states, just like Bernie wanted. So when somebody talks about doing the same in this country, don't call them Socialist!

So Canada would be able to conquer the US if the US was a more ‘socialist’ state – why would it want to and what about the nukes?

If you have consumerist capitalism the system depends on the majority of workers buying the products and paying the rents and servicing the debts that make the profits that go to the few. Scoot didn't seem to realise that a tipping point would come when there are more robots than human workers, robots have no need for the products, don’t consume, buy or need to rent.

I really kind of knew this would be crap after that – some rather ill thought through ramblings and the guy even admits it is all a just a bit of baloney that he really doesn’t have any real clue about in the ‘will that work - well shucks I don’t know’ kind of way.

And then it just descended more into the crap, honestly you watch this right - what in it did you think was any good enough to share?

Many of his view are dubious at best and sometime clear false. I mean at one point he basically claims that ‘capitalism’ will always be racist, do you agree with that?

Socialism is far superior to capitalism because of the honesty factor. In socialism everyone get the same fair service from the government. In capitalism, you get dishonest businessmen who really don't give a shit about their customers. The businessmen are only interested in making money. To give you an example, as I write this, two women I know are on the side of the road in New England in a rented truck. They paid several thousand dollars to rent the truck and a car hauling trailer. Now the truck is broken down and the mechanic who was sent out to them is refusing to unload the car from the trailer, and refusing to fix the truck. The tow company which was sent out is refusing to tow the broken truck unless the car is removed from the trailer. It is a situation typical of dishonest American owned business. They care about the money but not the customer. I would rather have socialism and the mandatory roadside help which the government would provide.

I don't live there and never claimed any country was 100% socialist. Your Fox news has certainly said Scandinavia is socialist when it suites them and also said what a great place it is.

Scandinavia and my current country are each "socialist" from the perspective of Republicans because there is a basic social safety net and overall the rich are looked down on and expected to pay higher tax. Someone like the Amazon owner would be seen as selfish and rude. He uses his money to buy elected officials that help him and he does not pay near enough tax. It's not that it's not capitalist just not the American worship of it. I guess at a point one is expected to have enough and be content whereas in America there is never enough. No matter what Amazon needs to make more profit they must expand.

For example watch Shark Tank. The sharks all already have millions so why do the show? Because they want more. It's almost mental illness. Same as the anorexic girl who thinks she's fat I think no matter what some of the rich always feel "poor" and inadequate because they don't see reality.

If you think what you see on the news about here is bad dig into the fringe parties. Some do want by the book Communism.
