my biggest concern is not that socialism failed with the voting in of trump, but the socialist inability to accept theIf own failure that they lived in for 8 years under Obama. The dream of a pipe dream that suppressed people. Do I ever tell people what they are ethnically, or that they are white right, or that they are nazis, white supremacists, when you are not. Do I believe what people say with regards to themselves? I can't speak for Tyrsonwood, but. why should anyone feel compelled to respond to your quiz? ". Your posts often border on off topic rants, and some folks may be unwilling to waste their time on them because they don't make sense. Let me explain some of the problems.

My problem with that statement is that "the Left" doesn't believe any single thing, because it's a collection of individuals ranging from moderate liberals to communists. Some leftists believe that the right are all white supremacists or racists, whether they know it or not. I think those are the minority, although they tend to be quite vocal. So I'd have trouble responding to your question because it's an example of the logical fallacy of "question begging". It assumes in the question itself something that isn't true, i.e., that "the left" has a common belief about "the right".

"What BLM Means to Me" sounds like the title of a 6th grade essay. I think it would definitely be accurate to classify BLM as left wing. But some people, like myself, have mixed feelings about it--more positive than negative. BLM began with a hashtag after the Trevor Martin incident in 2013 and came to national prominence with the killing of Michael Brown by police in Ferguson, MO in 2014. It was a response to a string of similar incidents going back many decades, probably to the post-Reconstruction era--police shootings of unarmed black men. I found myself inadvertently participating in a BLM demonstration in Chicago, after police gunned down a fleeing felon. I was staying there with a friend, went to the grocery store, and when I came out, found myself in the middle of a bunch of marching demonstators. Fortunately, the march went past the place where I was staying, and I was able to cut out and go inside. The George Floyd killing provided the spark for a massive surge of outrage against these killings. I think of this as similar to the Stonewall riot in 1969, when gays who had previously been subject to routine police harassment, decided they weren't going to take it anymore and fought back.

Like any such movement, there's a danger of mob action and of opportunists using it for personal advantage. Those vandals and looters who arrived in vans and automobiles in the evening seemed to be that. And of course there is always the danger that the demonstrators will push too far and provoke backlash. That's what I fear for BLM. In Oklahoma City, a BLM spokesperson presented demands to the city including a grocery store in the black neighborhood. She complained there was none. I, and probably a lot of other viewers, was asking myself: does this lady think grocery stores are benefits or commodities that a government can simply bestow? And what grocer in his right mind would open a store in a neighborhood after recently seeing stores being burned and looted? That's something BLM or others in the community are going to have to address when tempers cool. I'm also troubled by the calls to "defund the police", despite efforts to explain that it doesn't mean what it says it means. The assault on statuary is getting out of hand. I didn't mind the attack on the Confederate statues, since they were of traitors and were erected after the Civil War as revisionist history. As a Native American, I'm no fan of Columbus and Andy Jackson, but even I was shocked to see Chris decapitated and an effort made to pull Andy down. I think Washington and Jefferson should be off limits, despite the fact that they owned slaves. They are rightly ranked among the country's great presidents and to judge them by retrospectively applying contemporary moral standards and forgetting the good that they did for our nation isn't right. Excesses are something I expect in any movement, so I tend to make allowances for them if the cause is right--which I think the movement against unjustified police killings of unarmed African-American men is.

But my question to you is:
What does any of this have to do with Socialism?

 

first of all, BLM didn’t start as a hash tag. It is simply a name change from the BLA. It is propaganda. The thing is if you say, all lives matter you are called racist. If you vote right wing, you are called extreme left, white supremacist. This is due to the work done on the left to divide people. This is the workings of BLM. I have seen you personally accuse left wing people of switching sides simply for agreeing with some aspects or issues the supposed right take issue with. There is more common ground than many are willing to admit. Try asking a supposed right winger what their views on racism are. Most will say they don’t agree with or that the6 don’t approve of racism. Ask a supposed right wingers who the racist people are... and listen to the answer. Ask a supposed left winger who is racist and what do you think the answer will be?

So tell me, who is racist in your socialist view?

accusations of racism are used to shame people into joining their cause. This I find very suspect. It is also used simply as a way to silence people. How can a person respond t9 the accusation these days? It is simply believed. To dispute one can say, I think the person protests too much and to not respond you are allowing it t9 sink and and remain. I ignored this for a long time. It is the one thing and issue that is dividing people in the USA.

some things are racist, on both sides there are racist people. It isn’t reserved For one ethnicity or one way of voting. but on the left it is. When false accusations are allowed to go unchecked, this inflates the perception and creates a bigger divide, more upset. I predict Ethnicity and virtue signalling And pointing fingers at the racist right will be the only platform on the left in the next election. BLM will be leading the charge too, who is sponsored by left wing politicians.
