It’s totally relevant what company he worked for. If it’s a big monopoly, then it can afford to keep on the negligent management because customers cannot find an alternative. In a freer market, they can go to a competitor.

My point is that a private company cannot afford to keep poor management. The government monopoly can.

Czech Republic is a much freer economy than it was as Czechoslovakia. Just because it offers public healthcare, it doesn’t mean it is a socialist country. In fact the Czechs offer a private option for healthcare for those who want a more timely and better quality service than the public route. I’m sure Bernie wouldn’t approve. I’d compromise for public healthcare being an option as long as private still existed, but you’d have to hold my loved ones hostage, for me to give in to a demand like that. I also like that Czech Republic does not have any sin taxes on alcohol or cannabis. In fact it’s cheaper to get a beer at a restaurant than it is a water.

You keep saying these socialists are demanding a mixed economy, but I never hear you or any of them say that unless y’all are put on the spot, and forced to backpedal.

 

It is hard to answer. People here pay forced to pay into canadian health care at 13000 a year plus they pay for private healthcare on top of that. You can be denied something because it isn’t covered under OHIp or other plans specific to provinces. You have to pay out of pocket, the socialists have cut back things severely.
These things are not cover prescription drugs, home care or long-term care or dental care. Provinces provide partial coverage for children, those living in poverty and seniors. Only partial coverage. Glasses not covered either of course. You pay for a drug plan or pay out of pocket.
