The very same thing can be said about private enterprise. My next door neighborhood just quit his job of thirty years at a well known company. He was tired of doing the work of two people, and he was tired of management refusing to do anything about it.
This is not about the private sector vs the public sector. It's about poor management.
You stereotype the public sector jobs as bad because a government employee did their job, and you are mad about that.

Not to mention property tax, carbon tax, carbon tax, another socialist, liberal abuse, garbage pick up, carbon tax added onto heating carbon tax is added on to, which is already taxed, road tax, which is hidden in the tax tax carbon tax, this is an additional tax, that the feds take. Water is taxed too, not just paying for water. If the socialists could tax the air, they would, which they did do actually. They, the socialists taxed radio waves and using your radio, when radio waves first came in to play. The people revolted in the 50s They gave you a monthly charge on anything using radio waves. Liberals also taxed people 70 dollars just to renew your licence plate sticker in Toronto.. Doug ford thankfully nixed it. This tax was also retroactive, so whe; you went to get your new sticker you were charged it for your previous one as well. So every year you had to pay 140 dollars in tax for plus an additional 70 dollars for the sticker.

It has been calculated, from Jan 1st to August 27th goes to the government. After that until December 31st you get to keep., but pay taxes for what you buy, gas, heating, water, garbage, etc... in addition.

Dental not covered, that is separate and long long wait times, children dying, waiting. , Drugs not available and only generic brands which often don’t work properly, might be placebos even. You have to get a separate drug plan. Drugs are not covered. Not sure why you think they are? The drug plans don’t cover the full cost, additional health care is required, out of pocket expenses. as the government takes away what they will cover. You have no idea how bad it is here. The grass looks greener when in reality it is not.

a week to see your GP, 19.8 weeks to see a specialist, then tests, sent somewhere else, wait for that, back to the specialist, wait another 5months, if surgery is required they have to book and wait for a bed. waiting over a year or more to have an issue finally addressed. Emerg only is allowed 1 doctor on, as this is all the government allows. Unbelievable wait time. Imagine for a moment a moment having all your money going to the government from Jan 1st - Aug. 27, The rest of the year is yours which has to cover housing, heat, other taxes. Water, carbon tax, hidden taxes, property tax, food, clothing, etc. As well as a 13 percent tax in addition on what you buy. This is ok with you? We are bouncing off nothing.

 

Trying to plan for retirement, which you must pay into as well, to the government, wich gives you a max of 14,109.96 a year, that is unheard of for the most part. More like 900 a month and still having to pay for your medication as so many are not covered, food, housing, clothing, etc.

If you are pissed off at having to be at home due to having to self isolate due to the coronavirus maybe consider yourself to be lucky you can still work from home.

Since 1980, virtually all of the increased wealth in this nation has accrued to the top 10% and most of that to the top 1%. That is not a stable society in the long run. And Trump has been the worst of all, trashing the very things that make government more efficient and responsive while telling people the trickledown is coming. Taxes in the US are by developed nation standards very modest and not very progressive and yet Trump and his allies made it a lot worse by cutting taxes for the wealthy in good economic times.
John M. Keynes must be rolling in his grave so much his bones have turned to dust. And now we face a pandemic, a month of valuable response time has been piddled away by Trump already. If Hoover had stayed in office the Great Depression would still be with us. A mixed economy with appropriate roles for government and the private sector has worked very well for Scandinavia. But rules are needed to prevent capitalism from preying in the rest of society.
