I lived in Omaha in spring of '73 (b4 moving to CO).. Papillion was open fields with just a few apt buildings built.. Ak-Sar-Ben Roofing.. another newbie and I thought those sirens were "time to stop work" like some small CA towns.. he and I didn't know they were tornado warnings.. we'd crack beers and sit atop bldg & watch thunderstorms roll in.. until lightning made us think differently..
Ah, that's a long way away. I love the area. I was last stationed on the West coast in Washington state. Spent a lot of time up and down the coast and at Sea.
