see bottom of post #15 I don't know anything about firearms, I'll admit, but then again I must admit firearms scare the crap out of me...so do baloons popping.
This isn't what I was responding to but: I understand your previous experiences with trespassers damaging your property and animals. I have a friend/neighbor who had a similar problem recently. He has about 6 acres that borders on a creek and the other side of it is a cliff, so basically it's his creek for the stretch that's on his land. He was having problems with kids and adults coming on his property and leaving messes, tearing up his dams and water plants. He tried putting chains on the path to his little pond and they were cut. He was getting quite pissed, but did not do anything to harm anyone. Shooting your neighbor or his kids does little to make your life more secure. A couple of weeks ago we found out by accident what the problem was. There is a common piece of property on the creek near his lot and these people thought they were going there. They were getting pissed because they thought he was blocking access to common property owned by everyone in the neighborhood. An honest mistake that no one deserves to be shot over. If you're that concerned about keeping everyone out, you need a 10' electric chain link fence with razor wire on top and stock it with half a dozen Rototillers. If you point or shoot at someone who knows how to use their gun, you might have a problem. .
Hahaha, long haired boy in Missouri? I can't wait till you get shot by the police when they think you're a raging meth addict. And states are making it illegal to film the police without their consent, so unlike the Mexican boy no one will give a shit about you. As JackFlash said, despite what a lot of Americans think, shooting someone who's running off your property will land you the charge of murder. Shooting to wound will land you with felony assault most likely and illegal discharge of a firearm most likely. You need a threat to your own safety to attack someone with any kind of weapon including fists. Them being on your property won't fly in most courts. But if someone isn't bothering you, I do find it odd how people take such offense to other people being on their property. Your past neighbors were overall shitty people, but if I owned land the hell would I care if they let their pets run loose in it, or used their snowmobiles on it in the winter. Now if they were leaving bags of garbage everywhere and shooting dead my animals it'd be a different story.
