I'm going to back Nathan11 and I've found a good way to defend myself is dark sunglasses people get freaked when they can't see ya eyes no matter how your dressed well the guys anyway the girls seem to like that for some reason well the ones I've met lol

 

Got to agree, there is better ways of fighting than with violence, and if something does start if you walk away then yeah i've had a few hits to the head but if you can find a way to ignore it and just walk away people stop hitting you call you a pussy a few times and then maybe spit at you,

war is sometimes correct. like in the case of over throwing a corrupt government or self defence. for example i feel that the american revolution, war of 1812, and wwII were nesicary while world war I, vietnam, spanish-american war, and both gulf wars were wrong. you have to understand that some people are either too stupid or to big an asshole or both to understand anything besides a good ass-whoopin'

 

furthermore, humans are violent little creatures. this violent tendency can be suppressed by bringing more people into your comfort zone as i call it. your tribe, gang, town, nation etc. if you want world peace you must establish a common enemy. if a brutal technilogially advanced alien race sent armies to take over earth and exterminate humanity, then i guarantee you that al-quaeda, the us govt., the israelis and palistinans etc would put aside their differences for the good of the spiecies

The only way it could work is if we were all the same and all had the same culture, and I for one am not willing to give up the beautiful diversity of this planet in exchange for an illusion of peace.

As for violence on the personal level--Compassion is useless if it doesn't include yourself! If I was about to get raped or my mother was about to get beaten to death, there's no way in hell I'd sit there and try and "talk" the guy out of it. A person who uses violence to defend themselves when all other means are lost is not an evil person. You cannot put them on the same level as the leaders who start unjust wars.
