I don't use the term myself since it is so disrespectful to our elder generations, but I do feel empowered knowing it's the clapback of my generation. By less than 2 mo I’m a boomer. Like every other identifiable group we have are pluses and minuses. On the plus side, gen x is not a huge age cohort and along the way we got EPA and the green movement going. A giant minus is that a sizable number of us believed the St. Petersburg trolls and were selfish enough to vote for DT and his fellow travelers. Perhaps it’s really time for a re-education camp to bring back the peace, love, and flower children. It’s not too late to make amends for the crime of Nov 2016 and the steamroller of greed over Mother Earth.

It ain't over till its over. The termites in the Trump camp have done a lot of damage to the basic institutions of our democracy, and given the chance might be able to finish the job. And of course Europe has its Nativist counterparts. Do you include Mother Russia in "the west". Her economy is a basket case and her government continues its long tradition of despotism, but she's done a splendid job of sowing discord in our country. But don't count us out yet. Despite the best efforts of AltRight, AltLite, AltNot-So-Bright punks to divide us, there are still people of integrity hiding out in catacombs and waiting for the opportunity to Make America Normal Again!

We both agree that the west is a failing society. We don't agree on the symptoms.

It's subjective, but I don't include Russia to be in the West. To me, I see the west as the old British colonies, some of Latin America, and the parts of Western Europe that weren't trapped behind the Iron Curtain. But even then, there's probably a few more nations that I'm forgetting to mention that would be considered West. Those nations rejected economic Marxism in the 20th century. But they're beginning to embrace social Marxism in the 21st century. The nuclear family structure is falling apart by design. The modern day cost of living forces both parents to work full time, minimizing the time spent with their kids, forcing their kids to be indoctrinated in government approved public schools. Divorce rates and fatherless children are at record highs. Meaning single mothers have even less time to help raise her kids. Here in the US, a father lost a legal battle to protect his 6 year old son from getting a transgender operation by the demands of his sociopathic ex-wife.

Strong families = strong societies. Marxism is hellbent on destroying the nuclear family. And they've been very successful thus far.

In the UK, we found out that they let imprisoned murders walk the streets under a "day release" system. The recent London Bridge terrorist was just released only 6 years into a 24-year prison sentence for plotting an attack with about 7 other men. He desired death to England for not being an Islamic society. Why the hell wasn't he deported? Did the English government actually think this guy would be embracing his fellow Englishmen after only serving 6 years of prison?

Anyways, I can list several examples.

 

We should let in more immigrants to remake this place in their own image then.
