Smoking the Herb in the Real World

It's sounds as if you've never had the opportunity to hang out with us adults who are grown up, parents, professionals, etc. and smoke weed. You're view of people who smoke shows you have little real world experience and are only familiar with the teeny bopper stoner crew. I mean really, lots of people smoke and don't wear baggy pants and advertise the fact.

 

AGAIN must a spell it out YOU ASKED WHY I DON"T SMOKE......it's people like that.

 

this comes back to the same old point, I think. as long as you're still doing your job and taking care of your responsibilities, then there is nothing wrong with smoking some ganja.

i had to stop because i didn't want to risk being caught if i were tested under NCAA regulations. its just something i didn't want to risk in my last year of eligibility. so it was quite an easy decision to stop smoking. i haven't smoked since early august. i'll probably smoke some every once and a while once i get back home...

i don't know where my life is gonna go, so no clue if i'll be tested or not for jobs

I have a good friend whom is a lawyer and smokes like a broke stove. However he lives in SoCal now but every time he comes back down he brings lots of baggies. So I would say depending on what job I get I don't know if I will have to slow down. If I go back to the air force and get my FCC license I will probably have to quit long before then but that is one job i see myself having to quit.

Right now tho I'm looking forward to an IT job of some sort hopefully software engineering, they hardly ever drug test if they do in the first place.

i did end up stopping because of my job... plus i get randomly drug-tested. but i actually really like not smoking now. i feel crazy in a good way, and a lot more hyper and excited about life. i still love weed but it feels good to have pretty much stopped alltogether. plus im trying to pass all my classes so i can graduate

Yeah, that seems like enough of a reason to quit right there. I stopped smoking for almost a year and it felt pretty good, but smoking also feels pretty good. It's kinda impossible to escape smoking in college, especially here where there's nothing to really do. It never did get in the way of class though, friends and alcohol seem to be enough of a hinderance.

 

Dang that kinda sucks but if it's workin for ya do yo thang girl, MJ will always have your back so good luck.

 

I quit smoking two days ago, on 4/20, because I'm looking for a job and I need to be able to pass a piss test. As soon as I get a job though..........:spliff:

I wont have those restrictions on my life. I've turned down fairly impressive jobs because they handed me a cup.

If the board of directors can have 3 martini lunches, I can do what the fuck I please when I'm at home in the evenings.

Some people call me "stupid" for turning down jobs over smoking. I call them stupid for cheating themselves out of freedom for something so common as a paycheck.

 

I feel you on that. This is the first time I have ever taken a break from smoking so I could pass a piss test for a job. The main reason I'm doing it is because I have monthly probation fines I have to keep up with and, if quitting smoking helps me get a job any quicker, then I'm all for it, because I'm tired of having to rely on other people to pay my fines. Ya know? It's no their fault, so I should do what I can to keep them from having to pay my shit. But hey, at least they haven't thrown me back in jail yet. lol

Shit, the last job I had........they gave me a piss test before I was hired and I tested positive for THC. The woman that gave me the piss test looked at the results and whispered to me "Just don't smoke before your shift. Now throw this cup in the trash and put a paper towel over it". haha
