That'd be cool as hell to carve a piece into the tree. But you know, it'd suck for the tree and all. Also look like you're making out with a tree, but that probably wouldn't bother me too much.

Man, reading posts here makes me REALLY happy that I live where I do.
It isn't completely legal here, I live in BC... only about 10 miles from the US border (Idaho), actually. It's a tiny, middle-of-nowhere mountain town and the next closest towns are -slightly- bigger and almost two hours away.
We treat it like it's legal. Really. If we have weed, it's ALWAYS in my purse if we go anywhere. Anywhere. If we're driving OR walking down Main St. and decide to smoke one, we do. If we're at one of our parents' (or grandparents') houses and want to smoke one, we tell them and go outside. If we're in our house, no matter who's over... at the park, at the river/lake, on restaurant patios if they have them (during the warmer seasons most restaurants here have open patios)... anywhere.
I guess pretty much everyone here does it, though... just pretends it's legal and the cops seem to go along with it that way, haha.

Funny - we were in Nelson (one of the next closer towns, 1½ hrs. from here) and it was myself, my husband, my younger sister (she's 14) and my brother (he's 21). He's from Florida and doesn't smoke. We walked out of the restaurant after dinner and sparked one up on Main St. (oddly, it's actually Baker St.) and I swear, he nearly shit himself. I forget how strict they are in other places.

Ehh, there's always SOMETHING to worry about. There's this area here, Arrow Mountain (it's around the other side of the mountain that the town's built on, same mountain but whatever) and NOBODY fucks around there... the growers out there are crazy, most of them are armed with fuckloads of fully auto weapons and such, there are HUGE grows out there and even the cops have to arrange for something serious before they'll go into a bust - it's considered highly dangerous territory to anyone who knows better. Anywhere else, just the basics... deer eating your crops, being raided, fucking with other peoples' crops... there are Hell's Angels around here and you NEVER wanna even stumble across one of their crops, they think you're a crop raider even if you just accidentally found it. But generally, so far as cops are concerned... they aren't gonna know whose it is if they find it, so they don't even try. No worries there. If you go out and find your plants have been torn down by people (you can obviously tell if the deer got them or whatever) you just abandon ship and don't go back... find somewhere else to grow.

So yeah, there are a lot of worries about growing outdoors, but not many for someone like me. To find a spot up on the mountain or something to grow, my friends usually kind-of *prefer* to send me in, in case there are bigger more dangerous crops that they don't wanna stumble across... 'cause those are usually complete with big guys, automatic weapons and very mean dogs.

wow sound dangerous! oh well, um i kinda avoid smoking places where people know about i usually smoke in my house but when i venture outsideill smoke anywhere usually the only people on the street who care are cops but with the generation before us theve done it so they understand. other than that the public place i smoke the most is actually the bathroom in my church i have just set up a spoof and i just smoke a bowl(hit, smother, blow through spoof) and when in doubt just use the air freshener and say you took a smelly shit.

I've smoked in my dad's yard, about 50 yards away from a jail, downtown seattle (hempfest counts right), a tunnel in seattle, parks, apartment complex. Anything I feel comfortable.

There's a place downtown here called graffiti alley which is a hot spot, but a lot of people go there now so I don't usually do it there anymore.

Now I have a nice place in the woods about a half mile from where I usually am when I'm out in public. If it's nice time I'll roll a joint and just go down the street, nobody thinks anything because it's dark.

The woods, sides of various houses, about 7 of us huddled in the middle of an intersection smokin a bowl, parks, crowded street watchin fireworks, behind football field, fishing dock, mudflats, parking lots, roller rink, playground, ... The best times were smokin in public and I've never been caught.

Does anybody know what Cedar Point is? Anyways its an amusement park and I blazed up on their board walk. It was really funny cuz some maintence cleaning guy walked by and stared at me for a second then came over to me and I thought he was gonna bitch me out at first, and then he pulled out a cigarette and started smoking next to me, he talked to me about the tidal waves and shit lol I totally thought i was busted. And ive smoked in church, in the churchs portable classroom, um ive smoked weed in jail before. ummm I smoked while driving to rehab right behind my moms car. I broke into the schools bus lot and blazed in a bus. Ive blazed in my works bathroom. Ummm I blazed outta this girls dads pipe at a party once lol I wonder if he noticed. I blazed in school before.

I smoke up everywhere. I smoke up in cafes, and bars, on the street, pretty much anywhere, so long as tehres no cop staring me in hte face, and so that Im not doin it in front of little kids, or a case where it would be just plain stupid to smoke.

But Ive found, like otehrs have said, that as long as you dont act like an idiot and look around nervouly and crouch over, that people dont look at you or care. If youre acting like youre commiting a serious crime, then yeah youll attract more attention.

Ya just gotta be chill, and logical about it.

ive smoked in every alleyway in a 6 block radius of my house. in school, i asked to go 2 the b-room and smoked a joint. ive smoked walking down any given street. in my town, people don't really care so smoke wherever.
plus the cops are more worried about heorine, or coke to care about a little pot
and even so. if somebody see's you smokin' who honestly has the time to call the cops, file a report, testify in court, and be beaten by angry stoners. NOBODY. so just smoke

I used to be very scared about smoking up in public, even if I do live in Mexico. But just recently, I bought this one-hitter thing that looks like a cig, and now smoke in public without a care in the world, unless of course there's a cop or something. Usually walk around in parking lots and toke, streets that aren't too busy and even on my work's grounds. Just act natural, like you're just smoking a cig.

I agree with the theory "if you don't look like your doing anything wrong, you won't get caught". I've smoked walking down the streets and just waved and smiled at people. The best was smoking on a subway car on the way to HempFest in Boston, the conductor even asked "Hey, no ones smoking cigarettes, right?" Ha. I love HempFest

I'm a 40 yr old lady, and you can pull out a tiny one hitter & lite that up in a side walk cafe on a fancy street. the fancier the better. One should always remember to be careful, in any case.

i hardly ever smoke in a private place, always in public places....doesn't matter where, at schools at night, on the steps of the mall...on some bench somewhere, behind apartment buildings...in parks
if you fill a cig with bud people can't tell the difference...and if they happen to notice the smell they'll just smile and laugh while walking by.
