Smoking at concerts

i love weed too. i think my year long break will prove to be better for me than i ever imagined. plus I'm not worried about the "now." hell, a year is a very short time. in the grand scheme of things i know that there will be weed in the future, and it will be waiting for me when I'm off of probation.
shit, I'm going to be an organic farmer, i KNOW that I'm going to have some amazing weed, and i will not be living in America with it!...haha

anyway if i didn't want people to rub it in my face, i wouldn't spend so much time in the MJ forum. i love marijuana, and i really enjoy hearing about people having a good time with it. for me the most "fun" i can have with marijuana is sharing it, and there is no better place to find people to share it with than a festival. i know the last time i was at a festival, i smoked up over 40 people that i didn't know, and was smoked up by at least 20. festivals are my favorite place to smoke weed. even if a joint is being passed in a crowd and you only get one or two hits, it still feels great to be a part of a community joint. you'll find a great community of smokers, young to old, new to experienced, and everywhere in between.
when your done smoking it up at the shows, you can go back to your tent and chill. and when your ready, you can invite some of you tent neighbors in for a hotbox with a gravity bong, or a blunt.
Damn, do i miss festival season, and this summers festie season, i wont even be able to smoke!

i tend to not smoke at concerts though. its a much different atmosphere than festivals. toking has to be done secretly and cautiously. thats not really my thing. at most concerts i usually eat some mushies or some doses... but i do that at festivals too.

 

dude at the place where I go to concerts, it does not have to be done in secret at all. People do it openly outside on the smoking deck, and inside the concert venue too. We all did it too. Passed bowls around while dancing to the reggae music

I went to the Redman concert last night in Providence. People were smoking weed everywhere and the club didn't even attempt to kick anyone out. I smoked 3 dutches about 4 feet from a Providence cop, and he just stood there smiling and he nodded at me once. Hell, the dudes on stage were smoking the entire time too.

I think 2 years ago at Xfest i managed to make friends with the girlfriend of the dude who ran the event staff. Needless to say, they all knew who she was and that they were not to give her any trouble. So everytime i felt the need to spark up a joint, i went and smoked with her. She also bought me plenty of beer, being as i was probobly 16 at the time.

 

it depends on the venue...some times its chill to be passing bowls and blunts all night, sometimes we gotta use a one hitter and be checking..when its the latter, i would almost rather not blaze. some security guards ill just tell you to put something away, some will take you out of the crowd.

i like to wait a little while and see how active their being, and just see whats good.

 

Blunts! and don't forget to pass them to Richter or D-Loc, they won't refuse and they'll pass it back to you.

...I don't know how other bands are though.

 

I definitely vote for blunts. Very social-- if you find someone u know its easy to give them a rip off the blunt but I don't like passing glass around that much. Also, a lot of artists will def. hit that blunt w/ you if you're up front... pretty much any hip hop show, reggae, jam bands, all those guys will prolly toke up with you. I always love that.

I saw George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic a few years ago, passed GC a joint, then after the show some dude from the band asked us (me and 2 buddies) if we wanted to smoke. We, ended up in the tour bus smoking with pretty much the whole band, and then George showed up and ended up buying mushrooms off my buddy. Wild night.

I brought blunts to Ozzfest, Joints to Slayer, and my pipe for Cannibal Corpse, all worked well for me without problems.

 

joints all the way or if you know a police presence will be there back jibs ahead of time
(jibs are cigs emptied and filled back up with weed)

 

i smoked when i was at a gwar concert. i just used my bowl but w/e the venue doesn't really care. they let you smoke (cigs) but hey, who can tell the difference.
